Chapter 42

"HELOOOOO! DY! KENDALL!", I heard someone yell from the front door. That woke me up, yet I stayed in Kendall's arms.

"Can you get that?", I asked as Kendall nodded.

"But, I want a kiss first", he said.

"I'm too sore to roll over, sorry Kendork", I said as he sighed. I heard him get off the bed and go into the other room. I slowly sat up and looked at the clock; ten forty-five. Cool, Kendall and I must have gone to bed early last night. Kendall came back into the room.

"It's Logan. He say Gustavo needs us", he said as I nodded. I slowly turned and put my feet over the edge of the bed. Kendall was what seemed instantly at my side, helping me off the bed. You got to love him.

"Thanks", I said getting steady on my feet.

"My kiss now?", Kendall said as I rolled my eyes and nodded. I am so thankful that my face is like a half a day from being back to normal. Our lips touched. That's all. I'm not ready to just jump right back to where we were. Hopefully Kendall saw that. We pulled away as he nodded. I started to make an attempt to walk by myself; complete and utter failure on my part. Kendall just chuckled and held out his hand. I took it as he helped me over to my closet, bathroom, then he let me attempt to dress myself. Somehow I was able to. It was painful, but I was not letting Kendall help me with that... yet.

I walked out of our room into our living room/kitchen. Kendall was sitting on the couch reading one of my older stories.

"You ready?", I said as he closed the notebook. He stood up and put it on the table.

"Yeah. Do you want to try and do this on your own?", he said as I nodded.

"I'll try. Then I'll let you take over at the elevator. Okay?", I said as he nodded holding the door open for me.

"I like that idea", he said. I walked out the door with Kendall following close behind. He was so protective.

"So why do you think Gustavo needs us?", I asked as Kendall shrugged his shoulders.

"Well the guys and I probably have to start practicing for the concert. Then he'll probably have you do vocal exercises or something", Kendall said.

"God I hope not", I said as we approached the elevator.

"So you doing good?", Kendall asked. Oh it may be wrong, but I have to use this.....

"Hurting.... a lot", I said stumbling a little.

"Do you want me to help?", Kendall asked as I nodded.

"My leg feels like it's about to fall off", I said trying to make my eyes bigger.

"Then I have the perfect way to fix that", Kendall said gently picking me up bridal style,"better?" I nodded my head as he stepped into the elevator.

"Thank you", I said as he kissed me. He pulled away as the elevator hit the first floor. The doors opened. Kendall stepped out and everyone seemed to stare at us as Kendall walked to the door.

"Finally! Dy and Kendall are getting hitched!", Alex yelled. I rolled my eyes as everyone started clapping.

"No, we're not!", I said. Everyone just ignored me as Kendall walked us to his car. He sat me in the passenger seat and went to his side.

"Does this mean we're engaged?", he said with hopeful eyes. I let out a laugh.

"You call that a proposal?", I said.

"No?", he said with question in his voice. I nodded my head.

"Let's go", I said as he started the car and pulled out of the parking lot. Let's see what Gustavo has up his sleeves.......
