taking a sip from her tea, she lifted her head up, only to meet a man's gaze. he looked away, cheeks turning into a light shade of red. she smiled, finding it cute, but she shrugged that thought as she remembers 'him' the man who broke her heart, tear it up and threw it away as if it was some piece of junk.

she sighed, lifting her eyes again, and suddenly, he turned his head, only to meet her gaze. they both looked, both blushing so hard.

"i must be crazy," she muttered, taking a sip again from her tea and ate a spoonful of her red velvet cake. she glance up, meeting his gaze again. but now, they didn't look away. he smiled and she smiled as well, bowing her head and he did as well.

as they looked away, a smile crept on her lips. must be because of that man.

chaeyoung, snap out of it. she thought to herself.

as she glance at him, talking to his friends. he laughed at a joke, throwing his head back, laughing as he claps his head. chaeyoung smiled, finding it cute.

as she finished eating her snack, she walked out of the coffee shop, walking towards where she parked her bicycle. she stepped on the pedal, roaming around the city of seoul, enjoying the cold breeze as she sometimes stops and would pull out her film camera, taking a picture of the beautiful view.

glancing to the side, she found a book, the cover was eye catching. so she parked her bicycle, and entered the store.

she grabbed the book, reading the title. 'the story of us.' and it's description, 'i was lost, until you. i though i could never get over him, until you. i though i would never love again, until you.' "excuse me," he glanced over the guy, only to find him being the man she was stealing glances at the cafe.

"oh, the one at the coffee shop." he said and she smiled, "hello." there was an awkward silence, until he pulled out his hand and broke the silence, "i'm kim donghyuk. don't worry, i'm not a stalker or a bad man. it's just a coincidence being here, in the same place, with you. and a while ago, i'm sorry. i was just wondering why a beautiful girl like you was all alone in a coffee shop-" he shut his mouth up, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable, taking a step backward.

"no, no, it's okay." she said. "i'm park chaeyoung." she smiled, "it's nice to meet you."

"it's nice to meet you as well." they shake their hands and she quickly handed her a book. "read this. i borrowed it yesterday, and i swear, it was definitely a worth of read. it had me stay up 'til 3 am. he stopped again, scratching the back of his neck. "i'm a bit weird, huh?" he said. "i just- i'm just a reading enthusiast, sorry if i weirded you out." he apologized and she shook her head.

"no, you weren't. i find it fun actually, to talk about hobbies." she said and he smiled a bit, continuing to introduce the book to her.

they had fun. they were complete strangers, but not anymore. as they kept talking to each other, slowly they got to know, got to familiar with each other.

it's been a week, they keep meeting up in the coffee shop.

"okay, just one more picture." she says and she just shook her, doing another post and he smiled, clicking. "it came out beautiful." he said, "as expected from you, park chaeyoung-ssi." he smiled, looking at her pictures he took.

"yeah, taehyung always love to-" he stopped and he smiled. "my family loves harry potter. every christmas eve, we would stay up all night, watching every harry potter movies." he said, changing the topic. she laughed as he continues to joke, making her forget the pain in her heart. "really?" she laughed and he nodded, with his eyes wide-opened. "really." he said and she continues to laugh. "you're killing me!" she managed to stop laughing, rubbing her tummy.

"you're really cute when you laugh, chaey." he said and blushed as he realized what he did. she blushed red, looking away.

they continue the afternoon, laughing, telling stories about the most epic happenings in their life. "you're so funny, chaeyoung." he said and she blushed, looking down.

her ex have never told her that, never really compliment her. but he did. donghyuk does everyday, not missing one.

"yeah, he's really the best, mom." she smiled, taking another bite from her vanilla ice cream. "you really look happy, baby. whoever he is, say thank you to him for me. because of him, my baby is happy as she used to be back then." her mother smiled, and she smiled, looking and a smile crept on her lips.

"he does mom. he makes me happy." she said, lifting her head up to meet her mom's gaze. her mother smiled, "ooh, my baby is in love." her mom said and the world stop. remembering it now, fluttering hearts whenever he waves at her when she enters the coffee shop, his smile that made her heart flutter, and that gaze of him, making her heart skip a beat.

"i am." even her own self couldn't believe it, but there was no denying it, she was in love with him.

she entered the coffee shop, and as expected, he was there, waving at her. she smiled, proceeding towards the guy. he pulled the chair out, letting her sit down, and she did. he smiled, walking towards his own chair, checking the menu as he secretly glance at her, biting his lips and she laughed. "what are you doing? you look silly," she said, blushing as she look down to the menu.

"silly?" he asked, pouting and she just smiled.

"silent treatment? did i do something wrong?" he asked and she shook her head, looking down, not wanting to meet her gaze.

afraid? yes, she is.

she's afraid to love again. morever to get hurt again.

suddenly, she stood up. and he did as well, following her outside and grabbed her by the hand. "what's wrong?" he asked, letting go, and she faced him. "i'm falling for you, that's what wrong!" she shouted. his eyes widened, unable to process everything.

she likes him?

"yeah, i like you. i'm sorry, i didn't mean to fall for you. i'm sorry, okay? let's just say goodbye and end this, 'cause i can't it anymore, donghyuk. i can't stop myself from falling for you." she said and he let out a chuckle.

"do you think i'm not?" her eyes widened. but she was certain of what he said, but she wanted to hear it again to be sure. "w-what?" she stuttered and he smiled, "do you think i'm not?" he repeated, "do you think i'm not falling for you, chaeyoung?" he said, just to be clear.

she froze.

not literally.

but from his question.

"y-you-" she uttered and he nodded, his smile radiating.

and with that, surely there weren't friends anymore, but more than that.

and that's how she begin again.
