A/N: Liam up top
Chapter Five: B
"Jesus Louis what happened!?" Zayn gasped as Louis hobbled towards their group, his sore ankle seemed to drag him down and make him much slower than usual. He held onto Zayns shoulder for balance before sighing.
"Broke into my own house, hurt my foot but it's fine" Louis shrugged and watched as Michael blew out a puff of smoke looking down at his food uncomfortably, "Everything okay Michael?"
"You're still on for lunch right?" Michael asked and flicked his cigarette onto the grass lawn, stomping on it to put out the small flames that were on the end of it. Of course Ava was his main concern, it was never a I hope you're okay L or that sucks man.
"Obviously" Louis faked a grin before turning to Zayn who placed a worried facial expression towards his foot.
"Maybe you should go to the school nurse or even an actual doctor, it could be sprained. Is it swollen?" Zayn asked and placed a hand on Louis shoulder concerned. He grinned at his best friend appreciative of the dismay he showed.
"I'm okay Zayn, really. What we all want to know if how the date with Perrie went?" Louis changed the topic, wanting to hear all about what Zayn had been waiting for. Zayn grinned and looked down at his hands embarrassed, a sign Louis only knew as having a good time but to afraid to admit it.
"She's amazing, really! I took her out by the lake and we had dinner and I made sure that everything was perfect so she could give me another chance" Zayn sighed happily and stared into the distance as if he was reminiscing on the what seemed like perfect night he had, "and she did"
"Then you banged it out? Right?" Michael intruded making Louis almost grumble out loud.
"No! I'm not going to ruin our relationship, I obviously did something wrong last time and it might of been that I was going too fast" Zayn shrugged, "just taking it slow this time man"
"That's what our boy Louis ain't going to do to poor Ava at lunch" Ethan smirked and fist bumped Michael, the two of them erupted into laughter. Louis laughed along, feeling himself ease back into his group, the pain of his ankle seemed to retract for that solid minute. Then the bell went and Louis sighed, placing pressure onto his ankle and yelping in pain.
"Seriously dude get it checked out, I'm off to find Perrie. See you all during break" Zayn said and pat Louis on the shoulder before walking off to find his girlfriend.
As Louis walked through the corridor he tried to remember the events of last night, he remembered taking the cocaine and he remembered waking up. Louis sighed softly wondering why he even took the God damn stuff, this was the second time he has woken up without being able to recall the events that occurred when on the drug. He didn't want it to turn into a habit really, it was just that one time to relive some of that overwhelming stress that came with being a senior.
As he hobbled through the corridors he panicked as Louis began to realise they were empty. He was going to be late. Groaning out loud he tried to put pressure onto his already sore ankle and swore out loud, crashing into the lockers behind him. Hissing in pain he sat down, taking his shoe off and slowly wincing as he slid the sock down his foot. As Zayn suspected it was swollen, very swollen and he knew he should probably get it checked up on.
But he didn't need another thing added to his shoulders, he was fine.
Louis grabbed a hold of the side of the lockers and helped himself up, taking a deep breath before stumbling out of the corridors and into the quad that lead him to his classroom. He knew he was going to be awfully late, the silence that was in the air and the lack of people made it obvious. Then a hand grabbed his shoulder, Louis frantically turned around to see a boy with black hair looking at him concerned.
