Chapter Twelve: E
"Movies?"
"No, not enough talking."
"Dinner?"
"I'm broke."
"Romantic walk along the beach?"
"Shut up Zayn."
Louis threw a pillow at Zayn who caught it with his arms, laughing he perched himself up against Zayn's couch. The movie they were 'watching' was playing quietly in the background and the soft sounds of a dog barking was heard from where they were sitting. It wasn't unusual that they would have these days to the to of them, in fact they used to do it quite often but after the continuous stress from Louis the two of them seemed to loose their strong connection, Louis thankful that they could finally mend it.
"What do you suggest then? Can't figure out your date with Harry all on my own" Zayn shrugged and Louis grumbled playfully. Zayn had been, unsuccessfully, trying to get Louis to ask Harry out for what seemed like hours, it didn't annoy him of course, only making him bashful and somewhat excited possibly from the mention of the curly haired boy.
"I don't know, never really been a romantic guy... you and I both remember the first place i took Olivia" Louis admitted, biting his bottom lip nervously.
Olivia was also a Senior, them being a couple back when they had first began high school. It wasn't a very memorable relationship, in fact it ended quite horrifically really. Louis, for their first date, took Olivia to McDonald, much to Louis dismay she turned out to be a vegan and disgusted by his life choices she dumped him, leaving Louis sitting there alone with his nuggets.
"Okay well don't take her to McDonald's then, simple." Zayn rolled his eyes and turned towards the TV, a grin creeping up onto his face, eyes lighting up as if he was a child getting candy. Louis followed his gaze to see the movie they were watching, the couple was walking through a carnival hand in hand sharing a fairy floss, walking past numerous rides and markets, "I heard there was a carnival coming up actually, it's about an hour away from here"
Zayn looked at Louis with hope in his eyes, staring back at the TV again Louis felt some type of feeling wash over him. Picturing a carnival date with Harry was easy, going on Ferris wheels and kissing at the top felt magical and going home feeling like he was on top of the world was something Louis wished for. But asking Harry? asking him was the tricky part, it was the part that made him want to crawl in a hole and die.
"What if he says no Zayn? What if he doesn't want to go on a date? What if he hates carnivals or-" Louis began, rambling on.
"Don't specify it's a date then Louis. If he says no then its his loss anyways, besides who would say no to Louis Tomlinson. Just take this risk and ask him to this bloody carnival or i will. I'm not just sit around and watch you pine for Harry"
Louis nodded and took a glance at the TV once more, seeing the couple on the movie kiss under the moonlight, the girl wrapping her arms around his neck, a smile creeping on her face. Louis only longed for something like that, stability with someone he can be with forever and would he be lying if he didn't want that person to be Harry Styles.

The halls were crowded that lunch time, bodies surrounding a poster hung up on their pristine walls. Louis was curious as to what could be drawing such attention, a production maybe? Louis walked towards the poster, cramming himself through the large mass of bodies. When he could finally get a glimpse as to what all the hype was about he felt himself stare at the poster for a moment: Our schools first ever SPRING DANCE!
Louis was never much of a dance person, always feeling as if it was too cliche or all the slow dancing and maybe it was the fact that they treated it as a party even though alcohol was prohibited. As he stared at the poster some more he frowned when seeing it was in three months and tickets to the dance were being sold in a weeks time, it wasn't as if he was going to go or anything, he had better things to do and Louis had no doubt Michael would set him up with some random girl.
