As the lightning crashed out side again,the boys in the 7th year dorm were up messing around and talking as their door flew open and slammed behind Ruby as she ran into Remus' waiting arms. Since the 2 started going out last year whenever there was a big storm ruby would run to Remus because he helped,she was terrified of big storms but when she was under Remus' cover rapped in his arms listening to his heart beat she felt better. "Hey look who it is, big red" Sirius laughed Ruby just stuck her middle finger up at him which made the boys laugh and Remus pull her closer to his chest to whisper into her hair "are you ok?" He asked gently
"Yeah,now that I am with you" she said as she turned round to burry her face into his chest.
"When ever you need me I'll be there and u know that" Remus whispered into her dark brown hair
"I know because you love me" Remus chuckled making his chest vibrate and Ruby snuggle into him more.
"Awwwww you two are so cute" Sirius said in a cute voice
"Oh f*** off mate"
"Yeah they're not as bad as you and my cousin" James said
"Shove off. Hey... Red?"
"Yeah" Ruby murmured into Remus' chest
"Umm if you don't mind me asking why do you come in here when there's a storm?" Sirius asked
"Oh I umm." Ruby stared as there was another flash of lighting outside making her scream and cling onto Remus tighter making Remus wrap his arms around her and shake his head at Sirius.
Ruby stayed with Remus that night snuggled deep into his chest, but the storm didn't stop in the morning. The sky's were black the rain was pouring down and the thunder and lightning were louder and more intense than ever. Making life worse for Ruby she was clinging to Remus all day apart from in transfiguration last lesson. Minnie was half way threw the lesson and helping one of the Hufflepuffs when there was a loud crack of lightning and Ruby could hardly take  it.she grabbed Remus' hand really tightly to get him to drop his wand on the table and turn to her putting a hand on her back pulling her closer to him "hey hey hey" he said "deep breaths your fine your ok"
"I.. I Can't... I can't do this ..." Ruby said as she closed her eyes taking a deep breath.
"Hey hey hey no no your ok"
"No no I can't" Ruby said as she got up and ran out of the room
"Ruby" Remus yelled after her
"Miss Samuel" Minnie yelled Remus got up and started to run after her "you leave this room Mr Lupin you will get a weeks detention"
"No offence professor, but shove off she needs me right now so I will take your sodding detention"
That comment created an uproar in the room and Remus only heard James and Sirius yell "yes moony" as he left to find Ruby. Which was not an easy task since he didn't have the, map Sirius did, but he did find her eventually. She was in the astronomy tower which surprised him to see her there. "Well I definitely didn't expect to find you here, or you ok?" Remus asked Ruby just sighed as she turned around to look into his eyes, hers puffy and red from crying "I don't know anymore"
"Oh Hey"
"I just can't forget it, no matter how hard I try"
"Hey forget what Ruby Come here" Remus said as he pulled Ruby into his arms "hey talk to me you can trust me you know you can"
"Yeah I know umm ok when I was 8 there was a big storm at my house me and my brother were coming home from a day out in a muggle town, we got back later than we had hopped and we were locked out... we banged and banged on the door but no one came we tried to take shelter but we couldn't... a fire started we both suffered burns, bad burns he almost didn't make it."
"Oh Ruby.. I'm so sorry"
"It's not your fault, technically it my parents for not opening the door" Remus pulled Ruby into him and they just sat there in the back corner of the astronomy tower not talking, not needing to they just needed each other.
