Marauders one shots

The attack

Remus Lupin, Peter Petigrew, Sirius Black, James Potter
Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, Prongs
The Marauders

They go by many names but by the slytherins they are: the enemy, the target, the blood traitors, The misfits.
But by the death eater they are just the targets they are the ones their lord wants.
And they knew it. They knew that they were on Voldemort's wanted list. Did they care? Not really, should they have cared more? Probably.

It was a normal day, the marauders did their normal morning routine James left first to meet lily and head down to the great hall with Remus shortly following(normally)dragging a half asleep Peter then Sirius coming down last with Marlene.
See a normal day until,
It came to the end of breakfast when Dumbledore stood up suddenly and rushed down to where the marauders were sitting and grabbed James' shoulder and pulled him out of his seat and out of the hall
"They are here I need you to take Black, Lupin, Petigrew and yourself to the room of requirement and stay there until I come and get you,"
"No! No, no way are we gonna do that professor, respectfully Dumbledore I myself am going to fight and I am sure the rest of the marauders will too,"
"Mr. Potter I promised your parents that I would keep you safe and I can't do that if you are running into a fight that you do not have to be in."
"I don't care, I am fighting,"
"James-"
"Don't even bother I am fighting and that is that. I appreciate the concern professor really I do but I think I will take my chances." And with that he walked back into the hall.
"What was that about?" Sirius asked as James sat back down.
"they're here," James sighed
"Who?" Lily asked 
"No, no they're not. You're joking they're not." Remus said
"They are, Dumbles just told me, where's Pete?"
"Who knows he's never around anymore,"
"Is anyone going to tell me and lily what s going on?" Marlene asked.
"Death eaters." The three marauders said.

Bang. Crash. Scream.
"RUN." James screamed at the girls "Room of requirement, we will meet you there just go!"

As the marauders ran down the corridor with Peter still missing they came to a group of death eaters and professors battling. "Boys," McGonagall yelled "Get out of here. Now."
"Never gonna happen Minnie!" Sirius yelled back
"Don't just stand there Sirius, start shooting!" Remus yelled

1 hour, 2 hours, 5 hours how long had this fight been taking place who knew.
all of the students had been moved to the great hall now so they were all together and protected. with all professors fighting it was up to Lily and the prefects to guard and look after all of the students. no one knew how long the fight would last but some of the older students were getting restless and some even barged past the prefects at the door to go and fight admittedly some Slytherins went to help the death eaters as well.

"James!"
"Dad?"
"Get out of here and take the boys with you!"
"What n-"
"James! Now!"
"stuplify. Protago. Marauders!...fall back!"
"Come on James, Never"
"Padfoot, Dad's here come on he will never let us say,"
"ugh. Reducto!"

after firing one or two more hexes/ curses the Marauders ran in the opposite direction to the fighting. towards the great hall. picking up any other Hogwarts student on either side on the way to get everyone back to the hall. As the 7th years that were fighting stormed into the hall they got a lot of worried looks. they all look massively beat up. "We 're all going to be ok. The ministry is here now they are fighting, we will be out of here in no time alright. so just, hold tight I guess." James announced. Before he knew it he had Lily in his arms holding her close to his chest he kissed the top of her head. "Never do that again" she whispered
"Do what?" James asked innocently
"Run of into battle" she said pulling back to look at his face "Getting beat up like that, come over here sit and I will patch you up yeah?"
"Yeah ok." James sighed and followed her after looking back at the door towards the fighting.

The boys weren't that worse for wear James had a black eye and a gash above his eyebrow, Remus has a cut just below his eye over his cheek, Sirius has one big cut traveling through his eyebrow over his eye and ending on his cheek and Peter was still no were to be seen.

"This is stupid why are we still here?" a Slytherin 7th year yelled out after about 2 hours
"Hey settle down Avery." Lily shouted at him from James side,
"Don't you tell me what to do you filthy little Mudblood!"
"Oi!" James yelled sitting up "Watch you mouth. this is a public space remember first years present don't start anything you're gonna regret."
"You don't get to talk to me either Blood Traitor."
"Alright Avery" James said with a chuckle "You have shown your dominance threw name calling you're gonna sit back down now and stop making a scene yeah? otherwise Slytherin is going to start loosing points and you are going to be getting some detentions."
"you can't do that Potter"
Standing up James sniggered "Actually I can" he said pointing to his head boy badge on his chest "Now sit down and be a good boy before I start taking points."
Avery didn't move.
"10. 20. 40. 50.100 points from Slytherin."
"Avery," Another Slytherin hissed "Any more points and we have lost the house cup."
"Oooo listen to Rosier, Avery since the house cup is so important to you Slytherins since you can never win the quidditch cup." Sirius taunted also standing up but before he could move forwards the great hall doors  burst open to see a group of death eaters with one holding his want to Mr. Potters neck.
"Dad"

"Nice and slowly Potter or we blow your dads head off you and Black, Lupin and Pettigrew are going to come over here and we let your dad go. Does that sound fair?" one of the masked figures asked.
"We don't know where Peter is but-" Sirius started
"Us three can come" Remus finished standing up and walking over to James.
"Boys-" Mr. Potter started
"Sip it." the death eater holding him threatened
"Its ok Dad, you're gonna be ok." James said as the tree boys came up to the Death eaters. Just as the professors came running around the corner.

Mr. Potter was on the floor as soon as the boys were close enough, they were grabbed with wands put to their throats. "Anyone fires they pay the price" A Death eater yelled and with that the Marauders were dragged out of the hall and out onto the grounds.

It was dark. They were locked in a cell. But there was four of them now.
"Peter?" Remus asked quietly
"Remus?" Peter replied
"Oh thank god Pete where on earth have you been?"
"Here."
"what all day?" James asked
"Pretty much"
"Ok, ok great Wormtail is here and safe now can we please get out of here" Sirius said in a panic.
"Hey Pads calm down yeah? we're ok"
"How the hell do you know that Prongs, God it is like being back at my parents house."
"Hey, no ok no you aren't there and you never have to go back." Remus said
"We just need to think. What can we use to our advantage?"
"Ummm guys?"
"Moony you got something?"
"Urrr sort of. It's a full moon."
"Shit" Sirius exclaimed
"Hang on can't we use this to our advantage?" James asked
"How mate I am going to become a rabid animal in a few hours,"
"Yeah exactly. You wont hurt us-"
"But you will hurt them." Sirius finished
"No. No no no no no did i mention no not gonna happen"

"Mr Potter I have to ask you to take a seat and calm down-"
"Calm down my Sons have just been taken to god knows where by a group of death eaters I promised my wife I would protect them, I would come here and protect them and what have I done I got caught and they had to sacrifice themselves."
"Mr Potter we will find them, I promise you."
"You can't promise that Albus." Mr potter replied and walked out of the office to find Lily Evans sitting on the window with a book and tears in her eyes as she tried to distract herself. "It's Lily right?" He asked
"Yeah." She replied wiping her eyes and closing her book "and you are James' dad umm are you ok after earlier"
"Yes thank you but at the minute like you I'm Guessing, I am more worried about the boys."
"How did you know I was?"
"Well you're almost crying and when me and my wife got a letter of James saying that the Famous Lily Evans had finally said yes to him,we could never forget it," He chuckled "We are going to get those boys back either we will or they will do it themselves. they sure are strong enough to do so."
"You sound like you are trying to convince yourself as well as me," Mr Potter just sighed and nodded
