NEW YEARS EVE

Well if you have ever described a place as a mad house, nothing compares to Potter Manor this morning. James was up bright and early as per usual and he had about 5 minutes of quiet before "EVERYONE UP, TODAY IS THE DAY!" Was projected threw the house by mrs.P  James was in the kitchen when the call sounded "that's my cue" he muttered to himself as he got up and went up stairs to the main floor to find 3 tired eyed people, his dad, his uncle and marls, all in their night clothes "are you 3 reddy?" He asked with a smirk happy that he was never really tired in the mornings. They just grunted in reply "I hate you" Marlene muttered
"Why?" James asked with a hurt voice
"Because your not tired" she replied as Mrs.P and Mrs.M came down the stairs to tell everyone jobs.

"Right final touches on the house, doors the private rooms need locking, Charles make SURE you study is locked James the den has not been cleaned LOCK it. Indestructible charms need re doing just in case, posh glasses need putting out and those tables need covering with some cloth. James after you have locked your den can you get the speakers and sound system up and running I don't understand that muggle contraption. Clear ... good once that is all done meet back here I will check then we can all get reddy. Go." Mrs.P said in an authoritative voice.
"Oh my god" James whispered to marls as they made their way towards the den.

After locking the den James and Marls made their way over to the front of the ball room where the muggle sound system was (this is the muggle system that is modern for us so speakers a laptop and YouTube with modern ish songs)
"Wow this looks confusing" marls said "do you actually know how to work this?"
"It hurts that you doubt me you know, of corse I know how to work this" James started as he started plugging in wires into the speakers the. Into that laptop then more into the lights with marls trying to follow what he was doing but giving up in the end because there was to many wires.
"Almost done? Son?" Mr.P asked as he made his way over with Mr.M
"Yep, just need it put this in here, press this, turn this up and," 'please don't stop the music' started playing threw the speakers and they all laughed "good song choice Jamie" Marls said
"Yeah yeah".
Their laughing was caught short as they were called over for some lunch, then to be shoved upstairs to get changed into their ball clothes. Then practice descending then the dancing, repeatedly until half an hour before guests arrived when it is the adults running around going mental while James and Marlene mess around on the sound system.
