Make sure you read to the end because things are getting messy.

Things aren't really working out with us, I was hoping you could.." Tahira interrupted her before she could hit a stop "woah! Woah!! Sweetheart you didn't come here to me for advice, did you?"  Adilah swallowed hard, she knew it was stupid idea but nothing else worked, she was hoping Tahira would tell her what she was doing wrong.

"Look my marriage is failing, as a matter of fact I'm on my way back home to Kano..."
"And you just thought, lemme ask the mistress maybe she can help"
Adilah sitting on the slab rolled her eyes "well you both kept claiming to have end it, I guess I finally believed you"
"Look! I'm not going to help you, It took me a long while to study this man. Now look on the bright side, you don't have a long while, you have forever. You'll figure it out"

Adilah stood up from the slab "I knew this was a mistake"
"Yeah! You should have listened to yourself"
Adilah mumbled some curses while to walked back to her car, angry with herself for thinking Tahira would help her.

Before she was out of reach Tahira spoke rather loud enough for Adilah to hear her "I wouldn't leave though, if I were you. That's a mistake"

Adilah stopped without turning she replied, only because she believed she really needed guidance at that moment "I thought maybe space will help..."

"Maybe! Or maybe it'll just create more space, consider both possibilities"  That was about the only thing Tahira felt she could help her with, her distaste for Adilah only always grows.

Abdulmaleek's focus was divided between getting back his company and keeping Tahira from marrying Ajeay, and every time he tried to focus on getting it back thoughts of her distracted him. For most people Abdulmaleek was a good guy, for most of his life he tried to be. Today he felt like he was losing everything, Tahira knew Abdulmaleek had a dark side, only she was able to tame it and now that she was the reason he was about to go dark, nobody could stop him.

He was aware of the sensitivity of what he must do to keep her from marrying Ajeay and he realized he will have to hurt a lot of people including her to do that, at that moment he decided to do whatever it took and not stop till he achieved his aim. He dropped her a text message which he believed was necessary "I'm sorry for what I must now do, you did this!"

**
Adilah in the car changed her mind about leaving, she decided to go back home and inform Abdulmaleek about the baby "mu koma gida (let's go back home)" she instructed the driver.
"Lafiya Hajiya?(everything alright Hajiya?)" The driver asked confused.
"Kalau(fine)" she replied.

After a few minutes they got back home, she carried herself from the car, she couldn't dismiss the nagging displeasure in her gut telling her to leave and never return, but she was desperate to make her marriage work, she went inside the parlor, the driver dropped her bag by the door. Abdulmaleek came out all dressed to go out and to his shocking surprise there she was. He stared at her, it was obvious he was confused, he waited for an explanation and when it didn't come he asked "Is everything ok? I thought you'd be half ways by now"

Adilah let out a disgusted sound, she dropped her hand bag on the floor and collapsed into the couch.
He picked up his car keys, with his decision to break off Ajeay's engagement and ensure that Tahira became his wife, he decided at that moment it to inform Adilah he was bringing in a second wife. That was how sure he was he could end Tahira's relationship. "Errhhhmm Adilah.." he started, when she didn't look up or respond he continued "I need you to know that I will be taking in a second wife and.." she gave him a look, a very sudden, angry, dead look.

His words hit her hard, her heart beating between her breasts, all of a sudden she couldn't swallow. Her stomach rumbled of fear, fear that he might be serious which might mark the end of her marriage. She never believed in being someone's other wife or first wife. Why didn't she just go back home. Now she felt sure that Abdulmaleek didn't love her, he was more than pleased with her silence, he wasn't asking for permission nor did he desire to make explanations. He went straight for the door, despite the anger she felt, she didn't want to give him the pleasure of seeing her angry.
