POV CHAPTER
When I went back to the quarters all my friends were waiting to hear if we have been wedded "an daura ne??" Zainab asked, I shook my head and found a place by the bed side and sat. The makeup artist from Makeup house Kd came over to work on my face.
The room was too noisy, you know girls and chatter, but I wasn't in the mood for any of that, in truth if I could explain how torn apart I was the whole room will fall in silence for the grief in my heart was dark enough to bring darkness to any room. Shortly after Mommy came in the room and called Zainab, poor Zainab she literally had to leave Abdallah with her mom because of this wedding, she was my best friend and she help with everything. Mommy and the rest of my family were so comfortable with her it was like she was my sister.
Shortly after Zee came back in, she sat close to me and whispered "Tee mommy needs me to go with a few people, that your stuff are being moved to another house and we need to help arrange it before lokacin kai Amarya"
I moved a little and then said to the artist "sorry dan Allah ina zuwa" I dragged Zee to the toilet. "Did she say where it is being moved to?"
"No! Tahira what's going on everyone seem on their toes including you"
"Something happened with Ajeay, the wedding was called off"
"Innalillahi Wa Innailaihirrajuun!!! What happened Tee"
"I don't know Zainab but all I know is somehow Abdulmaleek was there and he proposed to marry me instead, Mommy and Anty Salaha kept me dazun for so long trying to convince me to accept"
Her eyes widen and her lip parted ways "did you accept?"
I sat on the toilet seat, my body cringed at the thought of this very disturbing turn of events, was this Abdulmaleek's plan all along? To have me cornered like this. "Yes Zee I did"
She leaned back at the door, she didn't have to tell me how messed up it was, I could read it right off her face "Tahira!"
"I know!"
"I don't think you do" She stated.
Nothing was final yet, I wasn't tied to him yet maybe a miracle will happen and this madness will stop.
"Well! This was what you've always wanted"
I closed my eyes and let myself feel the disappointment, that gut feeling that this was a mistake "not like this" I finally whispered, loud enough for her to hear me.
"Well I have to go, will you be fine with the girls?"
I smiled "yeah don't worry about me" she smiled back before going out the toilet.
I had to be strong, I had to be able to bear what was to come, the only way for me to do that was to numb my feelings completely. And that was what I did.

When we left the station me and Abdulzahir went straight home, if Tahira accepts then I meed someone to marry me off and of course my father had to be aware. He was sleeping but at the urgency of the situation I had to wake him up, I informed him first of the fact that I sent Adilah home and then told him I intended to marry Tahira and it didn't work out but now I have the opportunity again and it needed to be at that very moment if she should accept.
My father was ever ready to support me, he called his brothers and asked them to meet us at the venue. I knew he wouldn't be a problem because he already asked me to divorce Adilah after the problem with her grandfather.
I went back to the venue where I saw people leaving, apparently Daddy dismissed everybody except close friends and family member. When I arrived back he was on the phone, as soon as he got off the phone he looked to me "who do you have that will represent you???"
I felt my heart go to ease, Tahira must have accepted, that was the only explanation, my smile grew at it's own accord. "They are on their way"
"They should meet us back at my house, it'll be a small ceremony and I expect you to come with the necessities"
