Ch.Three

Kail Lowery

"So, where were you?" Wayne grits his teeth, trying to keep himself calm.

I look over to him frowning. "Kendle's, I'm always with her if I'm not with you Wayne." He rolls his eyes putting his head down.

"Okay." He sighs standing up. "I'm sorry."

I move closer to him. "It's fine." His hands go into mine as he kisses my cheek. "I just love you so much, I would really hate it if you were with someone else." He whispers, and I almost— almost believed him.

I nod leaning in to kiss him.

"Promise you won't leave me for someone else." God I was so tired of him asking me this. It was to the point where I want to shoot myself in the head.

"Promise." I whisper, not truly believing it.

Wayne pushes my back against the wall whispering. "Good" I feel his hands run down my body.

All the sudden I'm wrapped up in his bed sheets, naked playing on my phone while he's asleep. Same old same old.

He never cuddles, or talks. Not that I'm a fuck and cuddle kind of girl but. You'd think since I'm his girlfriend he would at least cuddle a little after sex.

I get up from the bed putting my clothes back on realizing I need to be at the Kings in an hour. I put a note on his night stand and leave out the door. The problem with Wayne and I is, we don't really get along as much as we used to.

He never wants to try with me, never is willing to talk in a calm matter, It irritates me. I step onto the front porch of the Kings house and knock. "One moment!" I hear Mrs. King yell, the sound of shuffling and soft yells come closer before the door opens.

I'm greeted to a half naked Xander and a very red faced Bella, ew. "Oh good morning Kail. So sorry I had you waiting, I've been trying to get ready all morning;but Xander and the kids here held me up. So you have perfect timing!" Bella says grabbing her purse.

"I will see you guys later there is money on the table for food. I won't be back till late!" She explains before climbing into the car as her driver speeds off.

"Guess that just leaves us." I spoke stepping into the house. Looking over I see the twins playing together.

"I have to leave in a couple of hours. You think you can handle them until I get back from work?" Xander asks pulling his phone out of his shorts pocket.

"Well yeah, that's kinda my job." I said, putting my bag down looking around. "Well, I'm going to get a shower then. The kids have ate. But the twins will probably want a snack around 11-" I cut him off.

"I know the schedule of everything. Your wife sent it to me in an email. Trust me I know." Rolling my eyes at him, feeling tinge of annoyance from his presence.

"Oh look it's Kail!" Hannah exclaimed getting up from the couch running to me. "Hey, what are you up to?"

"Just watching SpongeBob. Do you think we could go to the mall later! I need a new outfit for a birthday party tomorrow." Her big bright smile was just like her father's. How could I not say no honestly. "Of course I love the mall!" I say, sitting down next to the twins.

"How about we go after lunch yeah. I'll make grilled cheese for all of us." The twins smile big. "Grilled cheese!" They squeal, I couldn't help but laugh.

The kids and I play and laugh for a while, I have never had this much fun with kids before. It felt very... odd.

"Alright Kail has gotta pee, I will be right back. Can you guys be good for a couple of minutes?" I ask them getting up.
