..1 week later

Sincere

"Wake up, babe." V shook me and I opened my eyes, squinting because of the room's light.

"What time is it?" I spoke groggily, noticing it was still dark outside.

"4am." She said and I smacked my lips.

"Get in the bed." I said to her, closing my eyes.

"I want to show you something." She spoke quietly as I opened my eyes again.

"Look." She said pointing to her stomach.

"I don't see nothing." I shrugged and she smacked her lips.

"I have a little pouch and my boobs are a little bigger." She said trying to convince me.

She was only 1 month and a couple of weeks, the doctor told her each week she would see changes within her body so she was just excited to explore.

"I see, baybeh." I yawned as she smiled, looking down at her stomach.

Though I didn't actually see a difference in her body yet, I knew better than to go against her especially these days.

"Come back to bed so I can rub em' both." I told her and she laughed, turning the light off and getting back into the bed.

She cuddled into me as I inhale her natural scent, kissing her forehead.

"I'm excited." She spoke softly as I closed my eyes.

"Are you?" She asked and I nodded.

"Of course, baybeh." I opened my eyes as she looked at me.

I looked over her face as she did the same to mine.

"You don't think we're moving too fast?" She asked and I sighed because now she was overthinking.

She's been doing that a lot lately and her overthinking mixed with her mood swings wasn't a good mix. One minute I'd be getting cursed out and she wants me to leave her alone then the next minute she's all over me.

"I mean think about it, we've only been together 1 year." She said to me and I just let her vent.

"We're about to bring a life into the world." She went on and I nodded.

"Are we really ready for this?" She asked.

"Baybeh, I've been ready fa' this since I met you." I told her.

"The real question is, are you ready for this?" I said to her.

"I'm ready, I'm just scared. What if we fall out like India and Ant? They've been together for years and look what happened." She said to me.

"Look, we're not them. I'm here fa' you and I ain't walking out you no matter what. I don't care how many times we argue, I don't care how many times you try to leave me, you ain't goin' nowhere." I explained to her as she looked at me.
