It was a dark and rainy day and like you always used to do back at Wammys, you and Matt would spend it just to call the pizza service and play video games all day.

It was nothing special to be honest but for you days like these were simply beautiful and you loved every moment.
The boys meant the world to you, so you enjoyed every peaceful second you could spend with them.
Especially with Matt.

It wasn't like you two were dating.
In fact you always believed that they were your family, older brothers you luckily had choosen to be the most important people in your life.
But when you were alone, thinking about life and all those cruel things going on, you couldn't deny that there was something.
More than Friendship or love for a brother when it came to Matt.

Since your first day in the orphanage, when you met your best friends, you knew there was something special about the red headed boy.

You spent a big amount of time with those two morons and you started to love them for being the idiots they are.
Soon you were a part of the infamous trio and it was probably the best thing that ever happened to you.

Right now Mello was probably at work, trying to solve the Kira case that got all of you worked up.
So it was just you two in the room that was only illuminated by the TV and every once in a while a loud thunder followed by a lightning.

You sat on the dark couch in the middle of the room. There weren't many pieces of furniture in here except the TV, sofa and a big shelf on the opposite of the wall from where you sat with many games, consoles and controlers that mostly belonged to Matt, a big box of chocolate of Mellos favourite brand and a big amount of books that you called your own.

You smiled to yourself as you looked outside, the rain splashing against the window. Usually you loved watching Matt playing some games. You enjoyed your private live let's play but he just declared that he was about to play his favourite game again and you just couldn't stand to watch him rushing through all missons again.

You would never deny his love for video games but you just couldn't think else that he sometimes wanted to show you his talents when it came to that and that got on your nerves way too much.

It has always been your thing, you lived for games probably as much as he did but there weren't many games where you'd be able to beat him.

Slowly you crouched over the couch and armrest, approaching the large window front.
Your (h/l), (h/c) hair falling in waves over your back.
Staring at a few drops that were running down the pane you touched it with your right hand.
The glass was cold against your skin, just as you'd expected.
A shiver ran through you as you heard Matt's voice from the floor below the couch muttering: "Yo (Y/N), why you standing there like an idiot? Am I really that boring?"
He chuckled as you shot him a feigned horrified glance.

You heared him pausing the game and tossing the controler aside.
"Well y'know," he began, "you could just play with me you fuckn chicken."

For a moment you thought about his words and answered as you drew a few letters with your finger across the window.
"Nah thanks Matty. I'd rather continue counting the rain drops on the window than playing that stupid game again... and who the fuck are you calling a chicken huh?"

"Oi," he begann, "don't you dare to say such things about this masterpiece, dumbass. Now come on over."

You snorted and walked over to the couch again, letting yourself fall into the cushions.
"Whatever you say, Matty."

"Stop the nickname bullshit and go pick out a game to play." he demanded.

You gave out a sigh and murmured "duh play whatever you want as long as you don't continue with your so called 'masterpiece'."
