Chapter 5

Rufus's pov

My eyes eyes winded as I watched Rogue walk away.

"Gem....."

Gem Eucliffe was my best friend. She was also my partner. She told me a few weeks ago, that she was going on 3 jobs, to buy some new gear that she wanted. I would've never thought she would be severely injured......I gathered up my courage, and walked down the hall. The door to Sting's room was opened up a crack.

"There. She's all healed."

"Thanks Flora," I heard Rogue say.

I peeked in to see Rogue, Sting, Lector, Frosch, a purple Exceed, and a girl croweded around a bed. Another girl was on the bed. She had blonde hair, but her eyes were closed.

"No problem, but she has to take a day of rest."

All of them nodded.

I saw the girl turn towards me, and I quickly hid behind a wall.

"That must be Flora," I thought to myself.

She walked out of the room, with the purple Exceed.

"Wait Flora!"

My eyes winded slightly as Rogue suddenly grabbed her hand. She looked at him.

"What is it?"

"Do you want to join Sabertooth?"
