Chapter 27

Gem's pov

"Well what do you think?" I asked Rufus, once we were back at the guild.

He closed his eyes and smiled.

"I suppose it was fun."

I smiled.

"Gem! Rufus!"

We both looked and saw Frosch running over to us.

"Hey Frosch! Where's Lector and Rogue?" I asked, kneeling down to his height.

"Fro got lost."

"Lost?"

He nodded.

"This girl brought Fro back!"

"Frosch, what girl?" Rufus asked.

He turned, and realized no one was there.

"She was right here....."

I gently picked him up.

"Let's get you inside. You must be tired."

"Can Fro have fish?"

"Of course!"

"Yay!"

I smiled and walked in, with Frosch in my arms. Rufus soon followed.

"Frosch, you're all wet," I said.

He was drenched with water. That's when I realzed he was shivering.

"Rufus, can you go grab some towels? And maybe some blankets?"

I looked at him. He nodded and walked away. I put Frosch on the table.

"Stay here ok? I'm going to go grab you some new clothes. And to make that fish I promised you."

He smiled. I walked into Rogue's room, and grabbed another pink frog costume. I took a quick glance out the window. That's when I noticed a shadow. At first, I thought it would be Rogue but if Frosch was lost, he would be running all over the place looking for him. There wasn't anyone else who could use Shadow Magic. 

"Who is that?" 

And then with a flash it was gone. My mind was buzzing. All I did was stood there, until Rufus called my name.

"Gem, are you alright?"

I quickly snapped out of my thoughts.

"Y-Yes....I'm fine.....Absolutely fine."
