Chapter 18- Rise of the Seven Legends

With Meliodas directly intercepting 'Greatest Sun', he managed to send it flying back towards the other direction using 'Full Counter'. With it returning to the opposite direction, its speed and heat concentration increased tenfold, making this possibly the strongest counter Meliodas had ever performed in battle.

Despite gaining a small look of panic for a second, Zeldris instantly threw it away with an enraged scowl, cursing towards himself that he couldn't see this coming. He didn't have much to worry about though, as he could completely disable or erase magical powers before when he was just his father's proxy, so with him being the Demon King, this would feel more like a breeze passing through.

Zeldris brought his sword back in anticipation to use 'Counter Vanish' against the charging sun. He could see how fast it was moving, and therefore be able to time his moment of interception perfectly, keeping all of his focus on the magical attack.

His lack of awareness towards the rest of his surroundings would soon be his downfall however. Little did he care or think to look behind him in case of any more trickery. Without warning or even a sign, the almighty Lion Sin of Pride trapped Zeldris in a full nelson, restricting his arms and leaving his body completely open for the upcoming assault.

"What are you doing you fool?! Do you intend to die so foolishly?!" Zeldris yelled towards Escanor.

"Impudent fool, do you honestly believe that my own power would hurt me?" He retorted, adding a condescending chuckle as 'Greatest Sun' was now right in front of them.

"YOU BAAASSSSTTTTAAAARRRDD!!!"

The miniature sun hit them both without fail. With contact, a huge amount of fire and heat was dispersed across the battlefield. Meliodas and Ban who was guarding Natsu did their best to simply endure it, while Gray, Lucy, Erza, Wendy, Elizabeth, Hawk, Diane, Gowther and King all stayed protected in 'Pollen Garden', with King being barely able to shield everyone from the tremendous amount of force.

The explosion caused the earth to shake uncontrollably, creating huge ravines across every direction that kept widening further with every second. Any trees that remained were now singed ashes, and even a few mountains in the distance were melted slightly from the range. The disperse of heat kept going however, with everyone struggling to try and endure it.

"How long is this gonna last?!" Diane asked.

"Based around the concentration of power and the range it reaches, I estimate at least 2 whole more minutes." Gowther answered.

"Nrgh, well it sure packs a punch...!" King said as he struggled to maintain his magic power to protect everyone.

"Are you okay King?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah! I've just gotta focus, I'm nearly at my limit here..."

The next few minutes were still full of tremendous force pushing against the group. Just as it seemed King was at his limit, Wendy moves closer to him, raising her hands and causing a light blue glow to appear from her palms.

"DEUS EQUES!"

The blue aura began moving towards King, coating his entire body with a sparkling energy. It lasted for a a few seconds, disappearing by being absorbed into his body. When it was done, King looked more lively and energetic than before.

"W-What did you do? I feel so much more capable now."

"I used my enchantment technique to boost your physical capabilities, in hopes it would help you with this struggle of protecting us." She explained, giving a small yet warming grin to the Fairy King.

"Well it's definitely done something. I've never felt this good in 200 years!"

King raised his hand up, causing the dome of 'Pollen Garden' to increase in size and resist the heat blast more successfully, signifying Wendy's spell to have worked. While his power increased, the heatwave outside of the dome was beginning to lower in force and power. It kept dying down for several seconds, until ending without a single trace leftover.
