Meliodas did ferocious battle with the Deity Dragon. Sword slash after sword slash, the creature wouldn't fall so easily. The Blazing Deity was able to hold his own to an incredible degree, withstanding all of the Dragon Sin of Wrath's attacks and even treating 'Hellblaze' like a casual power booster by ingesting the Demonic flames without trouble.
While they fought, the Britannian Demons were dealt with swiftly by the combined efforts of Natsu and Sting, who dismembered them all without too much difficulty, while Hawk acted boastful and as if he could have defeated them all by himself, leaving the two teens to look at him with deadpan stares of scepticism. The trio were now left as witnesses as Meliodas did battle with the strongest of the Draconic Five, unsure of what else they could be capable of doing.
Whenever Kaizu took any kind of critical damage, he would heal using his own Fire Dragon magic to make them appear almost almost inexistent. Any wounds inflicted of Meliodas were healed almost immediately thanks to his Demonic heritage standing at the hierarchy of its power as the newly crowned Demon King. Neither had any clear advantage.
"Oh boy, if Meliodas doesn't make it, I'll be bacon bits without a doubt... u-unless I step in and show my true power of course! Hehehe..." Hawk whimpered and boasted. Natsu and Sting looked at the swine with deadpan glares, knowing all his spouting about a hidden power was merely hot air to boast and maintain his unjustified ego.
"Shut up pig! You haven't even done anything to show you're any good in a fight!" Natsu yelled. Hawk turned to the Fire Dragon Slayer with an angry glare and fuming heavily out of his nose.
"How dare you insult the mighty Hawk! Captain of the Order of Scraps Disposal! I have you know that Meliodas and the Seven Deadly Sins would have lost so many battles without my gracious assistance, even when I could have won all by myself! WHAT DO YOU KNOW, EH PUNK?" Natsu was becoming more annoyed by Hawk'a insolent egotism. His short temper was not the greatest match to Hawk's endless taunting.
"Oh yeah, you wanna piece? WELL COME AS ME SHORT-RIBS!"
Yes, it did seem that despite all the lessons learned, Natsu had no personal standards for anything. He was willing to fight with a stripper, merciless female knight, even his own guild master, and now encouraging a brawl with a literal pig.
"Cut it out, both of you! We have more important concerns right now! We gotta help Meliodas out. He's struggling pretty hard. We gotta help. We've dealt with way worse than this, and we can handle this threat no problem! We're Dragon Slayers! This is what we're meant to do!" Sting was trying to encourage Natsu and Hawk to assist in the fight, only to have no effect as they shook their heads in denial.
"Dude, look at that thing. There's no way I'm going out there..." Hawk muttered.
"Sting, I think it would be better if we just let him to him. I don't think fire would be much use against a Fire Dragon this strong. I also doubt White Dragon magic could even tickle him. Just let Meliodas handle it. The guy literally hunts Dragons for a hobby. You don't know the stories I heard of him. He's had more battles than I can count, and defeated literal Gods before. We can't help, no matter how much you say we can..." Natsu was rarely a reasoner, but Sting understood he was being serious when he said he would rather act as a spectator than join in the battle. There was no way they could help. They had to trust in the power of the 3,000 year old cursed warrior of legend.
Kaizu blasted another torrent of fire, catching Meliodas's figure in the centre of it and consuming his figure until it was no longer visible. The flames continued soaring downwards, covering the area where Natsu, Sting and Hawk stood. The three were trapped in a circle of fire, preventing any escape and erasing the air by the second.
