The Sins of Fairies (The Seven Deadly Sins x Fairy Tail)

Chapter 4- Demon Dragon vs Fire Dragon

Everyone was outside the back of the guildhall, preparing for the battles of the Seven Deadly Sins And Fairy Tail's strongest to commence. Through Makarov's decision, the pairings were Meliodas vs Natsu, Diane vs Lucy, Ban vs Gray, King vs Erza, Gowther vs Mirajane, Merlin vs Laxus, and Escanor vs Gildarts. The first matchup of the Dragon Sin of Wrath and Fairy Tail's Fire Dragon Slayer was about to begin, as both combatants walked into the open field, staring down at each other and ready to brawl.

"Maybe you should back out before you get hurt kid..." Natsu taunted, holding a cocky grin with confidence that he would win.

"I was about to say the same thing, and I'm actually over 3000 years old..." Meliodas replied, reminding him that he was far from being an ordinary little kid.

By the crowd a betting pool was formed by Cana. Most bets were on Meliodas due to hearing Hawk's comparisons of power levels, while Team Natsu was the only group to bet on Natsu.

"The Capn's gonna wipe the floor with that punk." Ban lazily announced, knowing how it was gonna end.

"Yeah well let's just hope he doesn't kill the kid by accident..." Diane said, concerned for what Meliodas had in store for the obnoxious teen.

Makarov walked towards the two, standing in the middle and acting as referee. Once close enough between the two, he began his announcement on the battle. Meliodas and Natsu simply looked at each other with even more excitement written on their faces, both cracking their knuckles and sporting childish grins.

"Everyone, I am proud to be the referee for this matchup, as well as all matches of today. It's rare for us to behold legendary warriors from distant kingdoms like these seven in front of us today. Our first fight shall be between Meliodas, the Dragon Sin of Wrath and Captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, vs Fairy Tail's Fire Dragon Slayer Natsu Dragneel, nicknamed the 'Salamander'. For the rules of this matchup, I demand no killing intentions to occur, and no one holding back, understand?!"

"Yeah!"

"Ni shi shi, yep!"

"Alright, let the battle... BEGIN!"

With that, Natsu instantly charged at Meliodas, opening with a flying kick that was blocked easily by Meliodas, then going in for a flurry of punches that Meliodas either blocked or dodged with seemingly little difficulty, sporting a blank look on his face while doing so.

To break the pointless assault, Meliodas sent a swift punch to Natsu's chest, forcing him to be sent flying halfway across the field, only to pick himself up and start charging his magic.

"FIRE DRAGON ROAR!"

Natsu sent a huge beam of fire directly at Meliodas, with enough force and power to show he wasn't going to be going easy on the Holy Knight. Meliodas however simply grinned at the display of power, quickly unsheathing Lostvayne faster than the eye could track, and getting in a stance with his sword held behind himself.

"FULL COUNTER!"

With one swift swing of his sword, Natsu's attack was sent in the other direction with seemingly more ferocity and force than before. Once hitting its target it exploded into a burst of flames, consuming Natsu's figure and causing a direct hit.

Suddenly, the fire started shrinking, getting smaller by the second until it was completely gone and Natsu could be seen, revealing him eating the flames and empowering himself.

"Wow, his power level just increased to 30,280, making him over 10 times stronger than before!" Hawk announced, noticing the increase in power from the teen's flame consumption.

"Alright, now I'm really fired up!" Natsu shouted, charging faster than the eye could track at Meliodas and landing a direct punch into his face, sending him flying across the entire field until crashing into a tree. Without giving time to rest, Natsu charged at Meliodas with a flurry of punches and kicks, trapping the short man in an unbreakable combo of pure offence.
