As Jason was shoved inside the wooden door, he saw a huge living room. There were two huge black leather sofa sets arranged elegantly in the round room, and on it, Jason could see two men sitting.Of them, one was reading a comic book, his hair a dark brownish colour and the first thing Jason noticed about the man was that he had a great frame. From the broad shoulders to the lean legs, although the man looked only a couple years older than Jason himself. He had plump, cherry lips and he looked up as Max and Jason entered. His eyes were a light hazel colour and he somehow had unblemished skin.
The other man was smaller, his whole body could be fitted on the single sofa as he lazily swiped on his mobile, not bothering to look up as Max cleared his throat. The guy had messy, black hair and brownish eyes, which indicated that he was extremely sleepy.
"Max! Where have you been?! And who is this?" The boy who had looked up spoke, giving Jason wide, dramatic eyes and got up.
Max didn't answer him right away, ushering Jason to the bathroom which was very near to the lounge, and throwing some clothes at him.
Hesitantly, Jason took a hurried bath, listening to the conversation that was taking place outside.
"Who is he?" The same voice which had asked this earlier said.
"He's my son. My wife died and left me with him." A bored voice sighed, and Jason choked on hearing Max say this.
There were a series of coughs before Max laughed.
"I'm kidding, Hayden. Let the guy breathe. I'll explain later. Where's Logan?"
"Still on the phone. I don't know what he's talking about for so long." A second voice said, and this voice was deep and lazy sounding, as if the owner had just woken up from a nap.
"I swear, they overwork him too much." Max sighed and then asked, "Where's everybody else?"
"Nathan's at school. He had an afternoon shift. And Noah is going to be back in a while...that's what he said, but I don't know," the first voice answered.
"Okay."
Jason put on the too-small clothes and wondered when he had gotten so buff. He could remember his friends teasing him for his skinny biceps just less than a year ago.
Despite being uncomfortable in the tight clothes, Jason slowly walked outside to see the three men sitting, still talking about something but conversation stopped abruptly as they saw Jason.
"Um...hi?"
The taller man, with the dramatic eyes frowned at him, then at Max, nodding his head a little and the second man did not even acknowledge Jason's voice.
"Come sit!" Max said, cheerfully and just as Jason was about to, a new voice came.
"Sorry, guys. I just had to-", the voice halted as the newcomer looked at Jason, and unconsciously, Jason stood up, straightening his already smooth trouser.
Something about the new man was very... intimidating. Maybe it was his heavily lidded eyes that stared at Jason, or maybe his tall height, or maybe the intelligent aura that oozed out of him, or maybe the fact that he had a black gun in his hand.
Jason gulped, trying his best not to shake as the man approached him, slowly.
The man towered over Jason's impressive height of 6'0 and he frowned at him.
"And who are you supposed to be?"
His voice was just like his appearance, deep and authoritative, and Jason almost squeaked out, "I'm nobody," but stopped himself.
