The music was familiar to Jason. As soon as he entered the casino's dance floor, he could feel his head bopping to the pop tune. Even though the song was in a foreign language, it was all in rage nowadays. The people on the dance floor moving along with the tune which made Jason slightly hum out the melody.
Beside him, Hayden was glancing along the floor, the lights flashing on the dancers who were having the time of their lives in the expensive casino.
Logan had told them to have at least one person with them so as to not seem awkward around the people. Even though Logan didn't say it, Jason knew that he had meant this for Jason, who, to be honest, was a little backwards at making new friends.
Maybe ten feet away from Hayden and Jason, Logan and Noah were talking to each other, laughing and dancing and Jason was sure that if he didn't know that these two were the leaders of a famous, deadly gang, he would have mistaken them for normal college students waiting to party at a fancy casino.
In the middle of the dance floor, Aria was laughing with a random person who she had befriended in the matter of seconds, and was looking like an angel with the neon lights flashing on her, swaying her hips to the tune of the pop song which the men and women were screaming over.
Tyler and Nathan were together, sitting on the bar seats and drinking some kind of alcohol, seeming fairly normal amidst the heat and humidity of the people dancing and mingling.
Max was nowhere to be seen, probably going around the casino to check for any inconveniences and then a message alerted all of them.
Quaver: Area secure. Head upstairs to BP 2.0.
Jason looked up to Logan who, along with Noah was heading towards the huge marble staircase which was flagged by two men carrying shotguns.
Hayden nodded at Jason and they followed the two leaders of Gray Dawn, giving a silent look towards Tyler and Nathan who nodded slightly as well.
Before reaching the two burly men who were eyeing the four men coming towards them, Jason looked at Aria who glanced at Jason and winked.
Take care of yourself, Jason thought desperately.
He looked ahead again and saw as the men raised a hand to block Noah and Logan from going up the staircase.
"Purpose?" The taller one asked. It seemed like he had a permanent scowl on his face and his voice was lower than even Noah's.
"Business." Logan said firmly.
"Organisation?" The second man asked, his hand nearing the talkie on his chest.
"Dawn." Noah sighed and the men widened his eyes, almost falling over themselves as they hurriedly pulled back their hands and allowed the four to enter the staircase.
Jason smirked slightly as the huge men bowed at Jason and Jason nodded at them, making them gulp.
Who knew that Gray Dawn had this much respect amongst people?
Jason muttered this to Hayden who laughed quietly, "Not that much respect. Mainly fear."
"This much?" Jason raised his eyebrows as the men along the staircase and doors went rigid upon looking at them and some nodded at the boys.
Hayden only smirked, "Well, let's just say that we've done some missions in front of people and Gray Dawn isn't exactly... lenient with the enemies."
Jason thought about that for a while and then shuddered.
Upstairs, the lights were dim and there were many guards going to and fro from the staircase which led to the dance floor of the Onyx Casino.
As the four men neared the huge door, Jason saw more guards eye them all, as if sizing them up.
