Jason still did not understand anything.

The man was dead?

Jason felt a little bit of satisfaction seeping into his heart, but it still somehow did not calm him.

"How do you guys know for sure?" He asked, facing Logan and Max.

Logan looked at Max, who nodded and then he looked at the other guys, all of them shrugging.

Then Logan spoke, "The world is a dangerous place. Everywhere, there are bad people, who do bad things without giving it a second thought." Jason thought about the sleek, black gun on the glass table and gulped.

"There are many people who try to catch these bad people, who you might know as police, government, the legal system or whatever."

Jason's eyes widened as he realized.

"Wait. Are you guys like those hitmen? Like, the people appointed by the government secretly to kill assassins and drug dealers?" To be honest, if Logan said yes right now, Jason wouldn't even be surprised.

Noah cracked an evil smirk, his perfect, pink lips opening in a deep laugh.

"You're smart." He said, and Jason blinked. It was true?

"But not smart enough." Noah sighed and then the sleepy boy, who Jason deduced could be no one other than Tyler sat up straighter.

"We're the people who the government looks for."

Jason looked at Logan, raising an eyebrow.

"Right now, there are a total of fifteen different gangs all around America. All gangs are responsible for different sections of illegal aspects. Drug dealing, money laundering, illegal ammunition from countries which are on the government's official blacklist, and the most important, assassination.

"As of now, the most deadliest and the most influential gang in America is Gray Dawn. It deals with assassinations of important people who don't deserve to live and this gang consists of six members...as of now.

"My name is Logan Gray and I am the leader of Gray Dawn."

Well.

It isn't too late to run, Jason?, He thought to himself, shivering.

"Bu-but you're so young. How can you be-?" Jason was cut off as Logan waved him off.

"Age doesn't matter here. Experience does. My father, George Gray, died when I was fifteen, and I was given responsibility of the gang when I was sixteen. We've all been in the gang for eight or so years."

Jason looked around and Nathan smiled that sweet smile at him and Jason raised an eyebrow.

Um, okay.

"I don't know much about you but what I do know is that you're loyal. And could be trained to be important if we want to. What would you say to letting go of solo life?" Logan asked and Max jumped excitedly.

"Wh-what do you mean?" Jason stuttered out and Logan stared at him.

"I'm giving you an opportunity to join the most deadliest gang in America. It's going to be the most important decision you make, since what we do is really, really dangerous. It's up to you to decline or accept. We will help you in every aspect, be it training, money, or whatever you require. And in turn, you will give us your loyalty."

"Wait, but why do you trust me? I could legit be a police officer or something." Jason said and Tyler scoffed, "Kids."

Logan said, "Tyler hacked into the systems of every police station in America while we were talking. Come on, Jason." Logan smirked, rolling his eyes, " We're not that naive. You don't have any trace on the police records."
