Learning about Mabel

Bellamy's POV
During unity day Clarke and I got a little too close. One thing led to another and 8 weeks later I get news from Clarke that was going to change out lives.
I was walking back to Camp Jaha trying to find Clarke. We had wounded so I passed them off to Abby when I feel someone embrace me in the biggest warmest hug. It was Clarke. I had a moment of 'is this real' and I was brought back to reality. I wrapped my arms around her body. There was a brief moment of peace between us. After Clarke hugged Octavia, Clarke took me behind a big piece of wreckage from the ark.
"Clarke what's wrong?" I ask.
She looked nervous. She was pacing. She finally looks up at me.
"I'm pregnant." She blurts out.
I was stunned for a second. Did she really just say what I thought she said.
"Say something Bellamy." She tells me
"Are you sure?" I ask. I was in shock.
"Yes. I found out in Mount Weather." she sighs
"Clarke I just don't think the timing is right. We shouldn't be having a baby on the ground. It's too dangerous." I explain to her
"I know Bellamy but I've killed so many people already, I can't kill my own flesh and blood. We made a mistake and now we have to face the consequences." She cries
"It's okay." I sigh. I wrap her in my arms and let her cry. I'm going to be a father. How is that. How can we do that on the ground. We have threats and enemies how am I supposed to father a child on this Earth.
The following day after getting my head around the idea of having a baby with Clarke Griffin I went to find her to tell her we could do this.
"Clarke." I call out
She turns around and I walk up and hug her.
"We can do this together." I smile at her
I place my hand on her stomach where our baby lay. She looks up at me with her piercing blue eyes
"Thankyou." She says
I remember the good days and the bad days. I remember running to Clarke everytime she was sick. I remember when our baby first kicked her. Throughout Clarke's pregnancy we had our ups and downs. Things were looking bad when Clarke went missing. She had a bounty on her. Then we were on opposite sides over grounders and then we had to fight ALIE. Then we had to save the world. The day we found out that we had to save the world After destroying ALIE, the world stood still for us. We were standing in Polis when I see Clarke immediately lean over. She was holding her stomach. She was breathing fast.
"Clarke." I panic
"I think it's time Bellamy." She says between breaths.
I carried Clarke to the Commanders quarters in Polis and lay her on the bed. Clarke was in pain. Abby followed us in as well as Kane and Octavia.
"Arrghhhh." Clarke screams.
I stand beside her and she squeezes my hand tightly.
Contraction after contraction rip through her. We'd been here for almost 9 hours. I see Clarke getting tired.
"Hey." I say. She looks up at me
"You can do this." I tell her.
"I'm so tired Bellamy." She almost whispers
"Clarke it's time to push." Abby instructs Clarke to push on the next contraction. She squeezes my hand tighter and tighter. The screams and cries rip through the building.
"Your almost there." I wipe the sweat away from her face.
"Clarke I need one more big push and your baby will be here." I hear Abby shout.
Clarke screams and then she goes silent. I slowly hear a little squeal followed by a loud wail. I see our baby for the first time.
"You have a daughter." Abby announces.
I look at Clarke who was crying. Abby wraps the baby up in an old cream towel and passes her to Clarke. I sit on the bed beside Clarke and we both look at this small pink baby that we created. My heart skipped a beat. Octavia was on the other side of Clarke staring. I see something in Octavia's eye. I hadn't seen it since she was with Lincoln. It was happiness. This baby brought us happiness.
"What should we name her Bellamy?" Clarke asks me.
I had thought of many names recently but one stuck out more than the others.
"How about Mabel?" I ask her.
She looks down at the baby who'd stopped crying.
"What do you think little one?" Clarke coos.
The baby sneezes and we all laugh.
"I think she agrees." Clarke looks up at me with a smile.
"Mabel Aurora Blake." Clarke announces.
"You serious Clarke. After our Mother." Octavia asks Clarke.
"Yeah it suits her. Your mother can live on through her granddaughter." Clarke smiles at both Octavia and myself.
Clarke passes Mabel to me. I was nervous. I hadn't held a baby since Octavia was a baby. As I held her I fell in love with her. I was going to protect her no matter what. It felt like ages before we took her back to Arkadia. We needed to get back there though. We were in danger. Azgeda wanted to take over and they hated skaikru.
We made our way back to Arkadia with our new born while Abby, Kane and Octavia stayed in Polis to try and keep the peace.

Back at Arkadia we introduced Mabel to Raven, Jasper, Harper and Monty. They were all in awe over her except for Jasper. He hasn't been the same since Maya. We were all standing in the Chancellors office trying to figure out a way to survive praimfiya when Mabel started crying. I was so nervous. She was screaming.
"Clarke is she okay?" I ask her concerned.
"I think she's just hungry." Clarke went and sat down on the couch and began feeding her.
"I made a deal with Roan that we'd share whatever we find. Clarke continues.
"We have to keep this deal or we die before praimfiya." I say to everyone.
I look at Clarke sincerity. I don't want anything to happen to her or our daughter.
