Mabel's pov

I wake up early in the morning and I jump out of bed. Its been 2 weeks since I hurt my leg now I have a scar there now. It looks pretty cool. I now have a 2 scars. One on my leg and one on my head. Daddy said I got that scar from hitting my head on the corner of a table. I don't remember though.
Daddy and Echo were still asleep so I quietly got dressed and left our room. I took my Auntie Octavia's teddy with me. I walked into the hall where we everyone hangs out. No one was out here though. I'm bored and I wanted to play.
"Hey mini princess." Someone calls out
I spin around and see Murphy leaning against the wall.
"Murphy do you want to play with me?" I ask him.
"Sure kid. What do you want to do?" He looks at me.
"I don't know. Hide n Seek" I suggest.
"Alright then. You have 20 seconds to hide anywhere in this ship." He smiles
"Anywhere?" I ask him
"Yep anywhere." He confirms
He starts counting and I ran as fast as I could. He did say I could hide anyway so I did as I was told. I ran around the corner to an air vent. Its east for me to climb in because Im small. I open it and climb in and pull the vent back on. I sit there and wait. I had Octavia's teddy in my hand. I look at him and I think about Octavia. I wish I could meet her again. I want to be just like her and Mommy of course. I want to be a warrior.
I hear footsteps in the distance so I keep really quiet. I see Murphy walk past through the vent. I let out a sigh of relief but I sneezed quickly afterwards.
'O oh'. I thought.
"I can hear you Mabel." He calls out.
I start to crawl further into the vent. I reach the end of the vent that leads off into two different directions. I hide around the corner of the left vent. I hear him crawling through the tunnel. Then it went quiet. Really quiet. I look around the corner and he jumps out at me.
"Rawww." He yells
I scream then laugh
"Found you Mabel." He laughs.
"Why do you like scaring me Murphy?" I laugh
"Because it's fun. You the only fun person the ring." He tells me. He lays on his tummy and I just sit there. We are both still in the vent talking.
"Mabel." I hear someone call out.
It was Dad. He told me not to go back in the vents. Murphy put his finger to his mouth and to tell me to keep quiet. We quietly crawled back through the vent to the corridor. We couldn't hear him so Murphy quietly opened the vent lid and we both jumped out.
"What did I say about the vents Mabel." I turn around and I see Daddy standing there with his arms crossed.
"We were playing Hide N Seek. Murphy said I could hide anywhere." I explained.
"Why did you say that?" He yells at Murphy.
"Woah Bellamy I didn't think she'd go hide in an air vent. I only knew she was in there because she sneezed." Murphy tries to calm Bellamy down.
"She's five years old. Of course if you say anywhere she'll take it literally." Daddy was throwing his arms around yelling at Murphy.
"Daddy Stop." I yell.
Both him and Murphy looked at me in confusion.
"I'm sorry alright. It's not Murphy's fault. I just wanted to play a game." I explain.
Daddy gets down on his knees and grabs me by the arms.
"Mabel last time you went in there you got hurt. I hate seeing you get hurt. I can't afford to lose you too." He started getting tears in his eyes.
I knew what he meant. He lost Mommy and he doesn't want to lose me. I place my little hand on Daddy's cheek.
"Daddy you won't lose me. I promise." I whisper.
I give him a hug and he picks me up.
"I love you." He says
"I love you too." I reply.
