Chapter twenty nine

They finally reached a city, the track's lead right into a train station that looked abandoned ''Where is everyone?'' Craig asked looking around, Luke stopped them feeling something wasn't right, he glanced around looking for any sign of movement not seeing anything ''Stay alert.'' he sad looking back at them before he continued walking. They got to the platform and Luke hopped up putting his shot gun down, Evan hopped up beside him while he leaned down helping the other's up, they then continued walking going up some stairs entering the station, they looked around ''Any of this look familiar?'' Luke asked being very cautious ''Idaho.'' they looked back at Tyler then continued walking, Craig peeked outside looking out at the nearby city seeing smoke coming from one of the buildings.

Tyler stopped behind him and looked over to the buildings seeing the same thing ''Guess we aren't going there.'' Craig looked up at him then looked over at the guy's, Craig took Tyler's hand and they walked over to catch up with them. Luke peeked around a corner into a room, the only thing separating them were glass doors ''Anything?'' Evan asked and Luke shook his head opening the door slowly and let them inside, Luke looked over seeing map's but saw the railings along the sides saying caution, the other's looked around seeing luggage from people and magazines scattered everywhere. Lui grabbed Evan's arm stopping him as he looked around ''What's wrong?'' he asked looking back at him.

Lui shook his head ''Something's not right.'' Luke pushed past the caution gates and walked over grabbing one of the pan flips off the ground opening it up and looked for anything to tell him what kind of map it was, seeing it was the wrong one he picked up another and did the same. Craig left Tyler's side while him and Brian went past the barriers on the opposite side, Craig got to some escalators that were still working and looked down the middle where there were just normal stairs. He looked back seeing they were pre occupied by something so he headed down the stairs. Luke sighed reaching for another pan flip that was in it's rack but stopped seeing something was dripping from it, he got a better look of it and looked around him seeing a trail of blood lead around the corner.

Luke went over and peeked around seeing a dead body and looked past it seeing the shadow of someone, he spun around looking and walked over ''Where's Craig?'' he asked not seeing him, Tyler got up and looked over ''Craig!-'' Luke hopped over he railing and covered his mouth, Tyler pushed him away as Craig came backing up the stair's slowly, Tyler walked over and grabbed him making him jump and turn around grabbing Tyler's shoulders ''We need to go.'' he whispered and Lui's eye's widened. Evan looked at him confused then turned seeing what he was looking at ''Run!'' he yelled pushing Lui back towards the doors, the other's looked over before running to the doors.

The zombie followed, the yelling caused the zombies at the bottom of the stairs, the one's Craig saw, then ran up, Luke shut the door locking the top while the other's ran, Luke followed after seeing they were stuck banging on the glass doors, he didn't look back to see if it was holding, he reached the bottom seeing Craig jump down after Lui. He fell to the ground, Tyler stopped looking back at him seeing Craig wasn't moving, he ran back and helped him up but Craig dug his nails into Tyler's arms ''Ow, it fucking hurts.'' Tyler looked down at his ankle then at him ''Why what happened?" Luke hoped down walking to them ''I think I broke it?'' he said and looked at Tyler seeing worry in his eyes, Luke looked back ''Carry him, I'll check it when we're away from here.'' Tyler did just that, he picked Craig up bridal style and they ran away from the station.

They got on a different track that was supposed to lead away from the city, when Luke assumed they were far enough away he stopped them and went over to Craig and Tyler seeing Tyler was setting him down, Luke crouched down ''Put pressure on it.'' he said seeing Craig wasn't wanting to stand on his right leg, Craig did so, as soon as he touched his foot to the ground and lifted it up fast ''Fuck.'' he huffed grabbing Tyler's arm, the other's walked over ''What happened?'' Evan asked seeing Luke checking Craig's ankle, Luke took Craig's shoe off then his sock and pulled up his pant leg while Craig tried his best not to scream at the pain. Luke saw the bruising around Craig's ankle ''Do you have sever pain?'' he asked looking up at him, Craig nodded biting his lip.

Luke looked at it a bit ''Move your toes.'' Craig took a breath in feeling like it would hurt and did that exact thing, Luke sighed and looked away getting up again ''Broken.'' he said and looked up at him, Craig gripped onto Tyler more biting his tongue as the pain felt like it was spreading ''Broken? How did you break it?'' Evan asked concerned while the other's came over ''When I jumped off the platform back there I herd something snap so, when I jumped I guess.'' Evan sighed seeing Tyler pick him up ''There's a hospital nearby right?'' Brock asked, Craig fixed his glasses and Luke shook his head ''If that was what a train station looked like I don't wanna know what a hospital look's like.'' he said and started walking again ''Let's keep moving.'' Tyler carried Craig behind him and the other's followed.
