Jon looked up from the train track and saw a small station before it lead into a tunnel, he limped over to it and climbed up, he opened the door and looked around seeing it was empty, he stepped inside smiling, he went behind the counter seeing a small handgun in a dead man's hands, Jon leaned over reaching for it hopping the guy wouldn't wake up suddenly, he didn't, Jon checked it seeing it was a revolver that still had four more bullets. He looked under seeing there was a water bottle, he grabbed it seeing there was still a little bit of water, he sat down and opened the water bottle downing the warm water.
He pulled it away gasping for air and smiled ''Thanks buddy.'' he said and got up grabbing his arm, he took his tank top off it and saw the blood had dried, he couldn't tell if it was infected of not, there wasn't any redness around it so he thought it to be fine. He wrapped it up not trusting it and turned looking around for anything else he might need, he clipped the water bottle to a loop from his jeans and stepped out of the station looking towards the tunnel knowing that if a train were to come by he was done for, he sighed and limped to the stairs going down them.
He limped towards the tunnel and looked down the dark tunnel seeing it looked clear all the way threw getting dark in the middle but other then that it looked safe. He looked back before entering the tunnel, he looked around watching the light slowly disappearing before him, he took a breath in staying on the tracks, away from the wall's not wanting to get grabbed, he was limping at a normal speed not rushing. He was almost at the end when he herd something rumble the tracks, he looked back not sure on what he was hearing or feeling.
He turned around and started limping faster reaching the end of the tunnel and moved off the tracks looking back again seeing a train but this train was moving faster, it was rocking back and forth almost, Jon looked around knowing this train could derail at anytime, he limped over to some tree's and kept moving along side the trees. He looked back seeing it in the tunnel now and herd a loud bang on the other side, he looked above the tunnel seeing tree's and stuff attached to the hill the tunnel was going threw, he then looked at the tunnel after hearing a larger crash and saw lot's of dust come from inside the tunnel. He took a risk and went on the track's looking into the tunnel seeing the front of the train at an angle and the cart's attached to the bigger one on and behind it.
Jon sighed and turned around ''Didn't wanna go back anyways.'' he said and cocked the revolver back keeping his left arm close to his side as he limped down the track once more, he could see a city in the distance from where he was. He didn't want to go into the city unless there would be something useful to him like more water, maybe a shirt. Jon then stopped and went to the edge looking around to see if the tracks lead down but they didn't, he looked around the city for any stores that might be useful landing an eye on a nearby store just at the bottom of the hill, he saw the word hunt and smiled. He then looked for a path down seeing a small path back where the tunnel was.
He backtracked to that said tunnel and headed down the path going threw a small fence and sighed limping down the dirt path hoping he didn't need to bother with the dead even though it's been a while since he's had to. He made it to the bottom and saw there was a big fence, he looked back seeing it must be a popular hiking path, before the apocalypse anyways. He looked up and down the long fence seeing a gate to his left so he headed over to it, he tried opening it seeing it was locked, he sighed thinking he had gotten lucky for once, he looked up seeing it wasn't that high of a fence so he un-cocked his gun and put it in his waist band grabbing the top of the fence flinching at moving his left arm. He took puffs of air before pulling himself up and over the fence, he lowered himself carefully and turned fast pulling his gun out looking around seeing he was fine.
He saw the store down the street and walked with caution with his gun out, he cocked it again before approaching the store, the city he was in was starting to seem abandoned but there were sign's that people were here. He reached the store and grabbed the handle seeing it was locked he walked over to the side looking at a time schedule seeing that one the day of the apocalypse the store was shut. He smiled and looked at the window, he looked around before peeking inside, he looked over to a camera off to the side seeing it was still moving around telling him the alarm would still be on if he tried breaking the glass. He sighed and stepped back looking up at the name of the store 'Hunt and Camping' and smiled knowing he had to get into this store one way or another.
