It was silent the whole way down the road, Evan could feel the tension in the car and knew this fight wasn't gonna go away for a while, he saw a sign for a city and sighed knowing this would either be where the herd went or is at, he was wondering if it was worth stopping at. He glanced at the gas seeing it was getting low and sighed moving into the far right lane, Brian looked at him a bit confused ''We're going into the town?'' Evan nodded ''Low on gas.'' Evan simply said and looked back at the road ''Still, what if the horde went into this city?'' Evan shrugged ''We'll see.'' Brian looked back outside looking at the tree's as they slowly became less and less evident.
Hours passed and Craig looked to Brock smiling ''Shut up.'' Brock said playfully ''Was that your stomach?'' Brock looked at him and reached in the back grabbing the bag next to Lui who was sleeping, he dug threw it finding the food Arlan was talking about, he brought it in front with him and opened it ''You guy's found a bag of food, Brock stopped and Brian looked down having his eye's aiming back at Craig ''It was given to us.'' Brian commented and Brock continued to eat ''By who? You met someone?'' Tyler asked a bit confused ''Arlan.'' he looked back at Lui who spoke up ''Thought you were sleeping?'' Brock asked, he shook his head keeping his eye's shut.
Evan sighed ''We're here.'' Brian turned front seeing the entrance to the city, Evan turned off and into the city and turned the car going into the first parking lot ''Wow.'' Brock gasped, Craig leaned over looking as Evan stopped the car, Lui sat up looking out the front and his eye's widened ''That's their truck!'' he yelled and climbed over them getting out of the car running over, Brian got out along with Evan, Evan ran faster then Brain stopping Lui ''Marcel!'' he yelled and looked around but Evan stopped him covering his mouth ''Shh, are you trying to alert every zombie in the area?'' Lui looked around ''But their here.'' he said and Evan looked at the truck, he walked over and reached inside being wary of the fire still raging a bit, he grabbed something from inside the truck and pulled it out moving back fast.
''This could've been anyone's truck.'' Craig tried explaining while Tyler kept him up a bit ''Nope, it was theirs.'' Evan said holding a gun, he checked the meg after finding initials ''It's a gun Ev, anyone could have a gun.'' Evan looked over in the parking lot almost empty and sighed ''Those same guys who harassed us back on the road did this.'' he said walking over to them ''Luke and Marcel are around here.'' Jon looked over to the mall seeing one of the door's was broken ''There.'' he called out running over, the other's followed.
As they all got there Evan cocked the gun back stepping in first seeing two zombie's, Brock took the knife out again and walked behind one while Tyler left Craig with Lui going to the other zombie while Evan passed by the two knowing Brock and Tyler had it. He got to the door's leading into the mall and looked around seeing more then just two ''There was someone here.'' Jon whispered seeing blood next to a shelf, Brock turned fast covering his mouth, Brian went over while Lui and Craig found the second dead body ''Something bad happened here.'' Craig mentioned looking over to them. Evan walked back to them ''I have an idea of how we can clear the mall out.'' he said walking past them leaving the way they came in.
It was silent until Evan smashed a car window clearing it out then ran away as the alarm blared, he smashed another car window letting that go off as well, then ran to the mall entrance again and they waited for the zombie's to leave with the noise, it worked, the zombie's ran out of the mall with some walking slowly behind, the guy's stayed quiet until it looked clear enough so they entered the mall, they went into the large area killing some of the one's that didn't leave and Evan looked down seeing a slight blood trail, he looked up seeing it was leading to a store, he followed it and looked inside seeing a shirt laying on the ground, he opened it more and went inside grabbing the shirt looking around ''Marcel.'' he whisper yelled and looked around more, Brian and Craig reached him and turned waving the other's over.
They stepped inside the store and shut it a bit behind them ''This is Marcel's.'' Evan explained and gave it to Brock ''It's still wet.'' Brock commented and Evan nodded ''That means they were just here.'' Luis stared at it and gulped ''Evan.'' he looked at him ''If that's Marcel's does that mean that's his blood?'' they looked to him and Evan looked at it ''No, it doesn't mean that.'' Tyler stepped forward ''But it could be.'' Lui glared at him, Evan hated it but he nodded ''Yeah, it could be.'' Lui looked to him, they looked behind them seeing the dead were coming back into the mall probably because nothing was outside ''Someone else is in here.'' Evan said looking around seeing they were in a medical store ''They could still be here.'' Tyler looked into the mall shutting the roll shutter more.
