Roman POV

I walked for what seemed like hours now, which it probably is. My legs feel like jello and I want to fall over and lay down. But, I have a very injured Virgil on my back.

I saw the city in my view and I sighed with relief. I felt Virgil shift, and I smiled he was adorable.

"R-Roman?"

"Yes?" I hummed in response.

"Where are we?"

"Almost into town, we'll need to go to your house."

There was silence for a moment, "Put me down." I did as he asked and put him down on a nearby rock.

"Remember you can't walk?"

"I know. We're gonna fly!"

There was sparkle in his eyes as that made me love him even more, If that was possible.

Virgil looked at me, the wheels in his head turning. He had this look in his eyes and held out his arms, "Do you trust me?" A smirk found its way onto his face.

I laughed in response and slipped my hand into his. "Yes?" I responded with the classic line from Disney's Aladdin.

The dark, mysterious boy I fell for pulled me close to him. I could feel his heartbeat, beating inside him, calming me. I blushed as his hands made their way around my waist tightly, almost like he was going to lose me.

Virgil shifted and then we were in the air. I screamed from the sudden movement. I shut my eyes tight, in fear I was going to fall. "You're okay Ro,"

I hesitated with the thought of opening my eyes. I gasped at the sight below me when I finally did. The sunrise made the bodies of water glitter and the little houses below seemed so small. Was this what Virgil saw? It's beautiful.

I looked up at my winged crush, he was smiling. Actually smiling. He seemed so carefree and happy. All the anxiety (hehehehe) in him seemed to vanish. Virgil's eyes lost all worry and fear as the wind blew into his face
The air rushed wildly around the two of us. Eventually, more and more of the city came to view.

A loud shout came from behind. Dad. Shit, this is bad. "Virgil can you fly any faster?" I spoke loudly enough so he could here me over the rushing wind.

"Yeah," He picked up speed his massive wings propelling us farther ahead. We were flying over the city the sun rising farther into the sky. "AH!" Virgil shouted, making us jolt down in our flight.

"Virgil?! What's wrong?" I yelled, concerned.

"My wing. It probably got damaged when I hit the tree!" he responded, "I'll have to crash land!"

I felt us plummet to the roof of a hotel, one close to his house. The wind rushed past us making my skin sting. I braced myself for the pain of the crash, but it ever came. When I looked up I noticed dark feathers surround me. He protected me. I heard a groan escape from Virgil. I immediately wiggled out from the wings. I ran to Virgil.

He had a few new scrapes and other minor injuries that covered but other than that he was okay. I helped him sit up and we looked at each other. I laughed, my winged hero joined as well.

"Come on let's get you inside." I picked him up and made my way to his house. Thankfully it wasn't too far. When we arrived Virgil showed me where the keys were. I unlocked the front door, and entered.

"To my room, please," He asked.

"Alright, Hot Topic,"

"Awe you think I'm hot?"

"What? Nooo, um I just noticed your clothing is from Hot Topic!?" I responded, blushing a red that would put my hair to shame.

"Suuuure," he laughed lightly, burying his face into my neck once more.

I put him down on his bed once we got in. I looked around his room. The walls were a dark purple with MCR, P!ATD, FOB, and Green Day posters covering them. Papers and art supplies were scattered over a dark desk. A bookcase was tucked away into one corner, and across from that was his bed.

I heard a small whimper come from Virgil. My head snapped towards him. "You okay?"

He shook his head. "I-I think I made my wing worse." Virgil slowly willed his right wong to move, but immediately made a small noise and put it back down.

"Don't," I put my hand on his knee, in a comforting way, "Let me get you cleaned up." I stood up and searched for the first aid kit. When I did find the small little box I returned to my injured crush.

"Okay, this may sting," I warned him. Virgil nodded and looked away. I gently placed a cotton ball on the scrapes that littered his arm. He bit his lip in response to not screaming. I did this a few other times, until they were all cleaned and bandaged. "All done," I sighed sitting back after placing a bandaid on a cut that claimed home to Virgil's cheek.

"T-thanks."

"No problem." I sat next to him. An awkward silence fell over us. "What does this mean?" I asked. Virgil looked at me, "Us, I mean."

"Oh," my winged friend blushed running his not bandaged hand through his purple hair. "Well, what is this to you?"

"I-Well, I like you...and you like me sooo," I went on, rubbing the back of my neck.

"So do you want to date or not?" He bluntly asked, knowing what I was getting at. I nodded slowly, slightly embarrassed in this whole situation. I heard a laugh come from Virgil and I smiled looking at him.

"W-what? Is something wrong," I panicked, "Oh god you don-"

I was cut off by Virgil taking a hold of my face. He smiled at me and kissed me. "I love you, Princey."

"Love you too, Emo Nightmare."
