I don't know why this chapter took me so long to write. But I am certain on the fact that i did not want to post this one, because this means the end of this story. I still have editing to do, but it won't be adding more to the story. For the last time, take it easy guys, gals and non-binary pals.

No POV

"Ewww! Daddy that's gross!" Five year old Rucker Charming cried out, covering his chubby little face with his small hands. He had gorgeous red hair, like his dad, but the dark eyes of his mommy. He looked identical to his dad, Roman. But had the attitude, and wings, of his mom, Virgil.

"No Rucker, it is absolutely romantic!" Their oldest, seven year old Veronica, swooned over the tale of their love. Opposite of her brother, she had the dark hair with hints of purple in it. Her father's green eyes and mother's freckled, pale skin though, somehow matched her adorable face and energetic personality. Her little purple tail added to her persona. "You are wrong!"

"No I-" Rucker went to snap back.

"Now you two," Virgil scolded his children, before the fight could get heated. "Let's not fight over whether it is romantic or gross, okay?" He knew the fight wouldn't grow into something much worse, drawing from previous arguments. However, he didn't want to deal with the drama Veronica hurls into the situation.

"'K mommy," the littles grumbled, looking away from each other. Both sending 'secret' glared towards the opposite sibling. Virgil smiled at his two kids. He remembered how he got the name 'mommy.' At first he had planned to be called 'papa' however, when Veronica came into the world, she insisted on calling him 'mommy.' It really irritated him at first, but now he finds it kinda cute. Rucker followed his older sister in the name.

Roman picked up Veronica and snuggled her close. Both their tales tangled together, lovingly. "I agree 'Ronica," he cooed, calling her his nickname he proudly gave her. "Our story is romantic and is truly the best!" Roman beamed, so proud. Virgil glared at his husband, daring him to go further on the love story basis. He visibly paled. "Now shall we get lunch started, princess?" Roman changes the subject, breaking from his winged husband. The little girl nodded her head. She giggled, her green eyes sparkling much like her father's.

Virgil rolled his eyes and pulled Rucker into his lap as the other two went to the kitchen. He smoothed out the messy, red feathers on his little wings. Silky and soft like his mommy's. At first they thought he wouldn't be like his sister or parents. But when he ran down the hall of their house, screaming about something on his back, at the age of two, that thought changed. They started it as little lumps but grew into the little, red wings he has now.

"Mommy?" Rucker asked, turning around to face said man. His dark eyes full of wonder and a bit of sadness.

"Yes?" He answered his son, concerned for the expression on his face. Rucker wasn't like this very often, so when he was it was serious.

His hands on his knees, Rucker tilted forward and asked his question, "Will my wings become as big as your's?" His eyes grew big as he waited for an answer.

Virgil gave a gentle smile at his little boy's curiosity. "Yes they will, buddy!" He told him, pulling the boy close. He erupted into a fit of giggles, his mommy joining in.

"I love you, Rucker," Virgil kissed his forehead and stood up. He stretched, after sitting for so long. His black and purple wings expanding.

Little Rucker copies his mother, stretching out his wings. A bigger grin appeared on Virgil's face at the sight of his son copying him.

Virgil went into the kitchen, seeing his daughter and husband making sandwiches. A simple meal, but one Veronica could help with. She was putting the meat, cheese and lettuce, which Roman cut, on her and Rucker's sandwiches. She was so proud when she finished. Holding up her's and showing her mommy.

"Look what I made, mommy!" Veronica smiled, a wide toothy grin, making said person's heart melt.

"So cool princess!" He told her, kissing her on the cheek. Virgil then took both sandwiches from the seven year old, and put them in a zip lock bag each. Then placing them in with the other two, in a semi-full basket. They were going on a picnic, meeting up with a friend and their family, also actually family.

After finishing making the meals and getting everything together, the family of four got in the car.

Roman started the vehicle, getting the A/C going. It was hot in the car, being summer and all. Virgil was buckling the littles in, both of them still in car seats. They had little cup holders on their seats, both of them holding a sealed cup with juice.

Virgil climbed in the front, and buckled in. He grabbed Roman's hand and rubbed it in comforting circles. They were both nervous, meeting up with Logan and Patton, who finally got married to each other, and adopted one kid within a year. Despite Roman's hesitance, Remy was coming. He and Virgil ended up becoming actual friends even after what was done. Roman's siblings Abby, Jake, Dominic, Sarah and Maria were all able to come to the event with their families, which was nerve racking for their brother. It was going to be a big event.

"I love you princy" Virgil told his husband calling him their high school nicknames. He kissed Roman softly on the cheek. A loving mood fell over the front of the car.

"Love you more, emo nightmare" Roman copied. This time he kissed Virgil on the lips, their children being able to see it from the back. Both of them intensified the kiss, seeing how much it would take to get a reaction from Veronica and Rucker.

"Ewwww!" Was cried from both kids. The two adults broke apart laughing. They had the cutest kids and an amazing life. Even though their past was so bumpy and had many holes in it, they were able to pull through. How did I get so lucky? Virgil thought to himself.

Well let me tell you it started with a boy that fell from the sky.
