Roman's POV

I sat up in a very uncomfortable bed, a bright white light welcomed me. As well as a headache. I shut my eyes and rubbed the drowsiness from them. An unfamiliar feeling washed though me, I had no clue what overcame me. I had a hard time remembering what was happening and where I was. I scratched the top of my head and then stretched, when I felt something. That was not there before.

I turned my head behind me I saw a red and white object wiggle behind me. A tail. The tip was white and floofed out in every direction. I jumped and let out a squeak. That was not a sound I made often. The little noise must have been loud because I heard a small grunt come from the floor next to me.

Looking down, I noticed Virgil. His massive wings were spread out behind him and he had a look of worry on his face. "R-Roman?" my boyfriend whispered, "ROMAN YOU'RE OKAY!" he then cried as soon as he took in the situation. His noodle arms wrapped around me and engulfed me into a hug. I nuzzled into his neck and I.......purred. I PURRED.

"Did you just...?" Virgil asked as he pulled from me. I blushed a deep crimson, nodding. A smiled formed on Virgil's face feeling me with happiness. "Your tail is pretty cute, Princey~" he said seductively into my ear.

"Already wanting me in the sheets and we found each other only a few moments ago, wow Emo Nightmare~" I replied. Virgil's pale skin turned rosy as I ran my finger up his back, and between his wings. He shivered and rested his head on my chest. His arms wrapped around my waist and towards the base of my new tail. "V don't you-"

Before I could say anymore I felt his hand wrap around my tail. I groaned as he firmly held my new body part. His hands worked the area around the tail making me shiver. "Is this payback for mess-sing with y-your wing-s?" Virgil nodded. "Might as well enjoy it!"

Virgil suddenly stopped. "W-what!?" He choked out. I smirked at the boy, us both knowing of my victory. He blushed and pushed away from me, "You suck!"

"But you swallow!" I replied. He turned a darker shade of red smacked my shoulder.

The door then opened and Virgil snapped up his wings expanding. Purple and black feathers blocked my vision from what was ahead. "No need to get all tense, buddy!" an all too familiar voice said. Remy. My heart dropped at the thought of his betrayal. How could he? Especially to his best friend!?

The curtain of feathers dropped from my view and there was Remy. He had a white T-shirt and a jacket tied around his waist over ripped navy blue jeans. He waved at me, but I only glared.

"Geeze, both of you hate me now huh?" A sigh came from Remy. " I guarentee you both want an explainaton?" We nodded. "My real name isn't Remy Domire, it's Remaro Nix and I am what is known as a hybrid, or grenous. Dylan was my older brother. He meant everything to me. I looked up to him as my hero. I was home schooled most my life, because of my tail," Remy told us, lifting up his shirt. It revealed a tail similar to mine, but not as fluffy and it was grey and white. "I was so scared to walk around with it in fear of someone spotting it. I had no control over my tail when I was little either. Now Dylan was different. He walked around with his snakey (Is that a word? Well it is now!) like appearance as a prideful thing. I yearned for that confidence but I couldn't quite grasp onto it. I admired Dylan and he loved and cared for me. When he began dating you he suddenly changed, however. He was cold and payed no attention to me. It was always YOU!" He shouted, pointing to Virgil.

"The most important person to me didn't care anymore. He was SO focused on you, Virgil. I meant nothing. But after he told me his plan I changed too. He planned to use you and your mother alongside with other scientist and make a genetically modified cure for people like me! I was smarter and became more skilled in acting and deceiving others. I was better than that wimpy thing I was.  When you ran and your mom died he was furious. He needed two Avians, not one! But my brother knew where you were then fleeing too, because he overheard you and your mother's conversation about the escape plan!" Virgil growled at the mention of his mother, "Dylan then told me to find you, act like I never knew him or you and PRETEND. TO BE. YOUR. FRIEND! And look at where we are now?" He chuckled and a dark aura surrounded the man we thought we knew.

"Remy I-" Virgil went to say, taking a step on the marble floor.

"Don't Remy me. I am NOT your friend got it!?"

My boy's face fell. He was on the brink of tears from his words already and was now ready to. I saw a tear escape the corner of his eye. I jumped forward and placed a reassuring hand on the Avian's waist. "Stop it. He-I-We are dealing with enough shit because of you and your brother, we do NOT need more got-"

The doors slammed open and several people all in the same navy blue outfit burst in before I could say anymore. They surrounded Remy and had Dylan in handcuffs. Behind them I saw Logan with a worried but prideful look on his face. Everything after that occurred in a blur. We were both asked questions about the whole incident and so on. I told them everything I could to the best of my abilities. After that Virgil and I drove home with Logan.

Virgil fell asleep on my shoulder and I stayed by him. Not wanting to let him go. I didn't want to let go of the most important person in my world. My boy in the sky.
