Virgil POV
I ran my hand through my hair, frustration overcoming my mind. Four days ago my boyfriend, Roman Charming, went missing. Well, kinda missing, I knew who he was with. Logan came in with coffee in his hand, a light steam coming from it. He rubbed my back and sat next to me. "We'll find him," he told me. I sent my brother a weary smile and placed my chin in my shaky hand, yawning. "You haven't slept in two days, Virgil. Go to bed."
"I'm fine," I replied with a yawn itching at my throat. It came from my mouth and Logan gave me the "I told you" look. "Okay, okay I'll go!"
"Besides, you will be able to think better with some sleep," Logan told me, "Also-"
"I don't need a smart ass comment Lo," I chuckled backing out and then making my way to my room. When I got there I curled into my sheets and Roman's jacket that was left when he was taken from me. The cologne he wore was mixed with the fabric, sending calming waves throughout me. I nuzzled into the clothing and felt my eyelids grow heavy.
Cracking, stone walls, blood stains, bright lights, metal beds, chains, steel bars. Pills, experiments, white coats, crying and death.
I snapped up suddenly. My breathing was faster than normal, and sweat beaded on my forehead. "That's it!" I jumped from my bed, tripping over my wings and slamming to the floor. A new found energy surged through me, "I know where he is!" I exited my room and bolted down the stairs and slammed into the living room. Logan was sitting there reading a book. "I KNOW WHERE ROMAN IS!" I screeched.
My brother jumped and turned towards me. "You're up-and what?" I smiled the dorkiest grin I had ever made, "I know where Roman was taken to."
"Let's go," Logan said, not even asking where. We got into his car and drove off, me giving instructions. Several hours later we closing in on the spot. The more certain I became with the location, I gave more exact instructions. The old building that brings haunting memories and scarring images to my mind came into view. "Turn here." I said and my older brother turned down a dirt road. A yellow and black mustang was parked in the front, Such great hiding skills, Dylan, I inwardly laughed.
When Logan pulled up I heard him whisper, "This is where mo-" his voice died out. The feeling of sadness and anger filled our car. I unbuckled my seatbelt and hopped out, running towards the entrance. There were massive glass doors that had what looked like dried blood and dirt all over it. I ignored that fact and pushed them open, a cool air slapped my face. I could hear a few shouts from a room nearby. Logan entered from behind me and gave me a reassuring look. I nodded and we went in the direction of the voices.
"Dumb-assss Remy iss my little brother!" I heard an all too familiar voice as we got closer. What? Remy is Dylan's brother!? My anger boiled up even more than it already was and I was ready to attack.
"Anyhow, pretty ssure everyone iss under sshock, but let'ss get thiss going!" I heard Dylan say. I placed both hands on the door and shoved them open. Each metal door slammed into the walls making a loud boom.
"Wai-" I turn to see Roman restrained to a large metal table, a white light illuminating everything around and under it. Rows and rows of viles, some full; some not, and what looked like paperwork lined glass desks.
"DYLAN NIX!" I screamed my wings extending to their full size. I glared at him. Nothing about the lying, cheating ass I knew changed one bit. From the evil smirk to the way he dresses. I curled my hands into fists, ready to fight.
"Ah V!" the lying jerk cheered.
"Don't call me that!" I snapped. Behind the man was a boy I thought I could trust, holding a white cloth to Roman's mouth. I launched it that direction. "DON'T TOUCH HIM YOU SON OF A-" I was slammed to the ground by Dylan before I could really do anything. My wings uncomfortably pressed up against my back.
"Virgil...." was all I could hear before Roman passed out on the table. I jumped forward only to be stopped by a shiny black shoe, stomping on my chest. I wheezed as I was slammed back into the marble floor, my head hitting it. I struggled to get out from underneath but I soon found myself up in the air. I was met by dark eyes.
"Remy..." I said venom lining my voice.
"Hi Virgil," my old friend said cooly. This was not the boy I knew back about a month ago. The one I knew was funny, sarcastic, and even though he had a tough and careless appearance, the man cared deep down inside even if he didn't show it. The one I saw at this exact moment, was a lying, cruel, faker. No emotion was in the eyes that held so much, and his heart was stone. Was this the real Remy? Is the man before me the one I knew only weeks prior to this? No. He is not. Nowhere close. Whoever I once knew is now gone.
I growled at him and landed a punch on his jaw, definitely leaving a bruise later on. He dropped me as he grabbed the sore spot. I got up and swung my leg underneath his, a yelp leaving his mouth. I was suddenly grabbed from behind. I wiggled and writhed trying to escape but the hold was too strong. I looked at the hands holding my and saw yellow gloves. "Dylan let me-"
My mouth was covered with a cloth. My vision blurred and began to be spotted with black. I was released from Dylan's hold and I stumbled towards Roman. I grabbed his hand with what little strength I had left.
"Goodbye the boy in the sky~"
