Hey y'all I'm still alive! Sorry for the long wait. I've been so busy, with me heading to high school and testing, not to mention drama at home and there...... Just oof. Anyway I'm proud to say this book is almost done! Sad to see it go, but exited to finish it off! There will be drama, the ultimate betrayal and if course romance! One last thank you and into the story!

Roman POV

Everything was dark. Just dark. No light. No warmth. Just me and my thoughts. My heart ached at the thought of Virgil feeling like this all the time.

I shook my head and tried to adjust the awkward position I was in. I was on my knees, a quickly growing pain entering the joint. Thick, steel chains bound my wrist and ankles behind me, limiting my movement. The stone walls were cracking in various places, and from what I could tell there was a family of mice living here as well.

A small window was my only source of light, giving off a small amount visibility. I was able to see an old, wooden bench that had two chains holding it up, one of them being broken.

I remember how I got here. I can't recall some of the arrival scenes but other than that I can play the moments like a movie in my brain.

I was sitting on the couch waiting for my boyfriend- I'm still astonished over the fact that I can say that now- to wake up. I stayed the night over at his and Logan's place for a date and we stayed up and watch a bunch of Disney movies. I claimed a bunch of the obvious morals, while Virgil stated the darker, deeper meaning. It opened my eyes up, to Disney and Virgil, himself. While watching Moana he passed out. My heart melted at the sight of him.

Anyway, I sat there in the living room scrolling through Instagram. I saw something for the school dance that is coming up. I'm planning on taking Virgil. I heard a knock on the door, then I quickly turned my phone off and placed it in my pocket.

Opening the door, I shielded my eyes from the bright morning sun. I looked to the person at the door. I took a double take. The man had a magician aura to him. From the black top hat to the yellow-black cape he wore. He had an almost normal appearance, magician wise. But, when you see his face, it throws you off. Green scales run from one cheek to his temple on one side of his face, a purple-pink ring around a menacing yellow eye.

"Uh, there some-something I can do for you?" I stuttered out.

"Yess," his enchanting voice rang out, " Do you know Virgil Night? "

"Uh..yeah I do he's my bo-best friend," I told him, praying he didn't notice my goof.

"No need to lie-," What!? "-I know he'ss more than a friend. Anyway, I am hisss Ex-boyfriend. We were together for while. After the break up we kept in touch, thankfully. I wass planning ssomething for him."

"Oh, well I will happily help you then! Come on in!" I opened the door wider letting the stranger in. We both went to the living room. " Is there something I can get you? "  I threw my thumb over my shoulder, gesturing to the kitchen.

"No thanksss," the emphasis on his 's' gives me a bad feeling in my gut. However, pushing it away and sitting next to him let that uneasiness go. "I musst ssay, ssorry though, we cannot plan here." I looked at the man sitting next to me. I felt a little bit embarrassed.

Here this stranger was in a nice outfit shiny shoes and all, and then there's me. In a white T-shirt and red boxers with yellow crowns on it, my hair a messy and traces I sleep still in me.

"Uh yeah, we can go to your place I guess. I'll write V a note telling him where I am," He nods and I grabbed a Post-it Sticky note and pen from Logan's arranged desk.  I

Be back in a few went to go do a few things!
Love,
RC❤

I smiled and then placed it on the fridge. I then turned to Snake-face guy, and we went out the door. I went out first and then we hopped into his black and yellow mustang.

"Who are you anyway?" I asked, " Not to be mean or anything! " I added.

He looked at me the incredibly intimidating mismatched eyes meeting mine. He smirked and then in his voice he practically whispered, "Dylan Nix."

Everything froze. I heard Virgil and Logan talk about him. Not the best things were said either.

I whipped around in an attempt to escape the man, but the doors were locked. "Ah, ah, ah Roman~" Dylan cooed, waving a finger. He knew my name and everything! What kind of sick bitch is this guy!?

Before I could do anything else my world went black.

When I woke up I was here, in this room, with an awful headache. I lost track of how many days I've been in this- dungeon? I don't know- place thing. I quickly thought Virgil would find me but, it has been  few days and no luck. I'm starting think rescue is not an option anymore.

The door to the cell opened and Dylan walked in. "It'ss time honey~" a wicked smile appeared on his face. I shivered as chills went down my spine. I had a clue of what was going to happen from what in had need in the halls.

Dylan was planning on experimenting on me. Become like him, well almost like him. I wouldn't be half snake, but something else. What? No idea.

Snake guy then unchained me and pulled me towards a room. The relief I felt in my knees was almost unreal. A brighter setting made me squint, so I couldn't really see where in was going.

Next thing I know, I'm strapped to a cold, metal table. Dylan and one other person, wait a minute he looks familiar. Dark brown hair, leather jacket, white shirt, and sunglasses!? That's REMY!? REMY Domire? Virgil's best friend has turned against him.

"R-Remy!?" I cried.

"Hey Roman! " he responded coolly, pulling on a pair of latex gloves.

"I thought-I just-wait this doesn't make any sense!" I shout pulling on my restraints. "You and Virgil are friends!"

"Do you really think I was true friend's with him?" He chuckled, "All I got from this 'friendship' was money and a sense of glory for me and my bro over here."

Hatred built up inside me, "W-what?" I

"Dumb-assss Remy iss my little brother!" Dylan snapped rolling his eyes.

"But-"

Remy stopped me, he lifted up his shirt to reveal a tail curled around his waist. My eyes practically bulges out of my head.

"Anyhow, pretty ssure everyone iss under sshock, but let'ss get thiss going!" Dylan stated.

"Wai-" before I could do anything a cloth went over my mouth and drowsiness overcame me. A slamming door and a few shouts were the last things I heard before I could muster out my last words, " Virgil...."

Everything went back once more.
