I hate being on this train. It brings back memories when our lives weren't ours, when we were terrified. I know Paylor was just being kind but we could've just had one of the normal trains, with the normal rooms and seats, instead of the luxurious train only victors get to experience. Paylor has called upon all of the past Victors, there's a memorial set up in the Capitol of all that we lost and it took a lot for Peeta to convince me to go, it took a bunch of cheese buns and a day in bed.

"Are you okay?" Peeta asks, wrapping his arms around me from behind me and I sigh, watching the scenery whiz by

"I don't want to go back to that place... the place where they hurt you, where they hurt vulnerable children" I frown, Peeta spins me around so that I'm facing him

"It will be hard, for us both but it's important that we go. Besides, your mom said we can stay with her when we get there. We're only there for one night and a day. We'll survive it" he reassures me and I smile

"You know... we could make some new memories on this train" I grin and he does too, our lips connect together and he slowly backs me up against the wall of the train, both of our hands wandering each other but of course our moment is cut short, not exactly being alone

"One day I'm going to walk in on you both doing something that I won't like" Haymitch grumbles, we break away and I glare at our ex-mentor

"Tell me why you came again?" I scowl

"To make sure you two keep yourselves in line" he says, sitting on the couch, drinking a glass of alcohol, knowing that he won't leave, I huff out in frustration and glare at Haymitch as I take Peeta to our room so we can continue what we had started.

We arrive in the Capitol in two days and my mom is there to pick us up, even Haymitch is staying with us, how fun! My moms apartment quarters is very much so Capitol like, the design is horrible with colours together, colours that shouldn't be together. At least the bedroom looked somewhat normal and so Peeta unpacks his bag while I look around

"It hasn't changed much" I admit

"Not really. The design is very Capitol" Peeta chuckles amusingly, I unpack what I brought which wasn't much, this is going to be a long two days.

I walk through the medical unit, nervously, I'm still not a fan of medical units... I've always had really bad experiences in places like this which makes it even more nerve racking being here. I'm wandering around in search for my mom but this place is huge and I can't find her, how on earth do people find each other in this place? It's like a maze

"Excuse me. Did you want some help?" I turn around to see a girl, a teenage girl, in some sort of medical uniform

"Oh... uh... Lily Everdeen?" I ask, she nods and tells me to follow her, we walk around some corners before we get to a closed door, the girl knocks and my mom answers, she sees me and smiles

"Come on in, Katniss" she says, I walk in and she shuts the door behind her, I take a seat and so does my mom

"I'm just going to go straight to the point... I... um..." I trail off, somehow quite embarrassed now

"It's okay, you can tell me" my mom reassures me, I take a deep breath, in and out, before telling her why I'm actually here

"Well, Peeta and I... we haven't done... the thing... I think we're ready to do it but I don't want to get pregnant" I tell her, she nods

"Okay, we don't have that much but we do have a shot we can give you that will prevent it from happening but it only lasts a year. I also need to warn you that it's not completely preventable but it's very slim you could fall pregnant. Either that or Peeta also gets a shot" my mom explains
