“About time you got here,” Ayako said to Eiji, annoyed. She was leaning on the wall, her arms crossed.

Eiji grinned sheepishly. “The clean-up took longer than I expected.”

“So why are those men messing with us?” Ayako asked, direct to the point.

Eiji shook his head. “Let's talk about that later. For now, we have things to settle. He's still not awake?” He motioned to Dong Min who was sprawled on the couch.

“Does he look awake to you?” Ayako raised an eyebrow.

          “Then wake him up.”

“We can talk to him later. Now tell me Eiji, what did those men want?”

“The man didn't say anything,” Eiji lied. He kept his face blank, hiding his emotions

behind a tightly secured mask of indifference.

“What?! I told you to make that man talk! That was a direct order Eiji!” Ayako said, frustrated.

“I take no orders from anyone other than Master Katsu,” Eiji said calmly.

“That's bullshit! I am the next leader of the clan!” She kicked the couch in anger.

          Dong Min jolted awake. “W-what?”

“At least you're awake now, sleepy head.” Ayako said then turned to Eiji. “Our discussion is not finished, you understand?”

“Ayako? Eiji? What happened?” Dong Min muttered, confused.

          Ayako frowned. “You don't remember?”

Dong Min closed his eyes. The recent events came rushing back to him. Ayako pointing a gun at him... gunshots... daggers...

          Daggers?

“Oh my God Ayako! Were you hurt? Are you okay?!”

Ayako rolled her eyes. “Seems like you remember now. And yes, I'm fine. That son of a bitch didn't even properly throw my dagger.” At the mention of the man, her mind went back to the fight.

Dong Min's jaw dropped in shock at Ayako's crude way of speaking.

Eiji chuckled at his dumbfounded expression. “That's the real her.”

“Who are you guys?” Dong Min asked seriously.

“I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you,” Ayako said in a playful tone.

Dong Min shivered at the murderous glint on Ayako's eyes.

          Eiji noticed instantly.

Suddenly, Ayako's chocolate brown eyes were covered by manly hands.

“Sorry Dong Min. The bloodlust is getting to her,” Eiji apologized. Then she pulled Ayako's body closer to him and whispered to her in a soothing voice. “It's over Aya. Calm down. Dong Min does not mean you harm.”

Eiji recognized the signs. It was something that Ayako always suffered with everytime she was involved in a serious fight. The bloodlust was too strong for her and an hour after the fight, she remembers it and her desire to kill intensifies.
