Picture on the right is of a stargazer flower. The idea of using stargazer came to me because my roommate kept getting that kind of flowers from her suitor. I don't know if it actually blooms in Japan but in my imagination it does so let's leave it that way, hmm?

By the way, I still need someone who will make a new cover photo for this story. Thanks.

Tell me what you think about this chapter. Thanks!!! :))

What is taking him so long?

Ayako checked the door for the nth time for any sign of Eiji but still nothing. It wasn't like she had waited long actually, but still, she was about to make a decision that would affect her whole life and he's late?!

The nerve! If he isn't here in 5 minutes, he's gonna die. I mean that literally.

She had just finished that rant on her head when she heard the rumbling of a motorcycle outside. She peeked through the window and saw Eiji just getting off from a sleek black motorcycle.

          Stylish and hot.

          The rider?

Must you always tease yourself, brain?

Out loud, she said, “You're late. And since when have you been sporting a big bike?”

Eiji shrugged. “Recently. What did you want to talk about?”

With the reminder of the decision she made, Ayako shifted her feet. It wasn't like her to be uncertain but this isn't some small issue they're talking about, this could alter her entire future!

“I think I'm gonna regret this but...” She started.

As she paused, the memories from her childhood flashed before her eyes, like a movie. Every scene flowing into each other.

“Ayako, you will be the leader of this clan soon...”

“Aya-chan, sorry but I'm scared of your father.”

“Chiba Ayako, welcome to Seoul University.”

“What do you want to be when you grow up, Aya?”

          “Ayako...”

          “Aya...”

          “A-”

“–ya. Aya!” Eiji's voice pulled her out of her daydreaming. “What is it Aya?” Concern was clear in his eyes.

Oddly, it calmed Ayako. Eiji had always been concerned about her. She didn't always welcome his concern but he never stopped caring. This is the kind of man she's entrusting her whole life with.

Everything will be okay. She breathed in. “...let's get married.”

She expected to have some major reaction after she said that. She was expecting to feel repulsion or regret or anxiousness or anything. Heck, she wouldn't have been surprised if some cosmic anomaly happened right there and then.
