Now you'll know if you guessed right on the identity of Kang Dae's son. Let me know if you guessed right :)
This is a shorter chapter compared to the other chapters. Originally, I wasn't gonna post chapter 19 yet because I was having a little trouble in writing the last parts of the chapter. But then I decided to cut the chapter into two parts, so here you have the first part :)
I'm sure I've explained enough and you're getting bored so on to the story we go!!!

“It's been a while hasn't it, father,” Ayako said.
It was a day after the Red Lions went to Kang Dae's den.
Her father ruffled her hair affectionately. “Yes. When are you coming home to Japan?”
Ayako smiled. It was the exact same question her father kept asking her every year since she left Japan. “Give me a good reason why I should come home aside from succeeding the clan.”
“How about coming home for you and Eiji's wedding?”
She looked out the window where Eiji and the other Red Lions were talking. He was laughing and it made him all the more handsome.
He told her they needed to talk so she was waiting but he hadn't talked to her about the two of them since then and she was getting nervous.
She sighed. “Father, you know I broke the engagement.”
“But you still want to get married to him.”
Her father gave her a knowing grin.
“Yes. But not out of an obligation,” she said truthfully. It was no use lying to her father.
“I don't think he's doing this out of an obligation, Aya. Not that I'm intruding in both of your lives but that kid really looked devastated when he came home here to tell me the engagement was off.”
Hope filled Ayako's heart. “Don't get my hopes up, father. Eiji haven't even proposed properly. When he did last time, it was all about the clan and me having a choice. It didn't seem like a man proposing to a woman he's in love with. It was more like a concerned friend offering help.”
Her father shrugged. “Well, I won't give up just yet if I were you. I have a good feeling about the two of you.”
“Did you want him as a son in law even before, father?” she asked curiously.
“Ever since he told me you were the best thing that happened to him.”
“H-he told you that?”
“Yes. You know Eiji can never lie to me and when he said that he was only about 18 but he was serious. I may not know what Eiji truly feels for you but I do know that a man like that would treasure you for the rest of your life because everyday he would be thankful that you're in his life. So cheer up okay Aya?”
“Thank you father.” She hugged him.
“And while you're here, please complete the mission that I gave you. Kang Dae may have been a bad man but I can't ignore a dying man's last wish. Now that we know who his son is, that kid must know who his real father is and he must also know that we're all ready to stand by his side and guide him to be a better man than his father was.”
By coincidence, Kang Dae's son was someone really close to Ayako. That was why her father entrusted him with the mission to tell him the truth and at the same time, to watch over him.
It's better if you'll be the one to tell him. Because he trusts you. That was what her father said.
“I really didn't expect him to be Kang Dae's son. He's so different from Kang Dae,” she said more to herself. “But I'll make sure he'll know the truth, father. And I'll see to it that he copes up with the revelation of his true identity. He's important to me, after all. I would be really upset if he becomes similar to what Kang Dae became.”
And with those brave words, Ayako was now outside Kang Dae's son's house. It was time to let him know the truth about his father.
Even I was surprised. I really can't imagine how he would react.
“Come on, Ayako. Let's do this,” she muttered to herself.
She pressed the doorbell.
A few seconds after, the door opened and there stood Kang Dae's son himself.
“Aya? What are you doing here?”
“Hi, Dong Min.”
