Tyler slowly munched on his pizza not really eating it.

Physically his emotion was indescribable.

You couldn't tell what he was feeling.

But inside he really wanted to cry.

He was right.

Joshua did ditch him for Ashley.

And now they're dating!

Yes, he concluded that he is jealous and from the start he had a crush on Joshua even if he didn't realize it.

When Joshua didn't come see him he realized how much he missed his face, smile, his strong arms, how safe it feels, he misses his whole presence.

And he knew that he liked Joshua.

But now what's the point in liking him if he's dating stupid Ashley!

It's clear that Joshua never liked him even as a friend because if they were friends he would be the one eating pizza with Joshua.

Especially now that Tyler realized that he liked the tall boy, the chances that of him telling him he does are very, very low.

But again why would he tell him if Joshua is obviously straight and doesn't want anything to do with him.

It's probably because I'm ugly, yeah that would make sense.

He thinks.

Slouching  more.

His pizza forgotten.

His mom noticed how he was acting but didn't want to ask and have Tyler he more upset.

Though she wants to know what he's upset about.

"Honey are you alright?"

Tyler nods.

She isn't quite convinced but decides not to press on.

Tyler really has to go to the bathroom but the chances of bumping into Joshua are high and he doesn't-as much as he does want to see him- he just can't.

But alas he gets up from the booth and heads to the bathroom, not really wanting to have an accident and be even more embarrassed.

As he goes he quickly passes Joshua's table and the tall boy, again, isn't paying attention to what Ashley is saying only nodding here and there it because all he's been thinking about was Tyler, gosh! And when he sees Tyler pass he decides now is his chance to makes things right.

"So then-"

"Sorry Ash I have to use the bathroom,"

"Oh okay" she smiles and he leaves.

Joshua is on autopilot when he enters the bathroom he doesn't have a clue what he's going to say or how to start the conversation.

Joshua freezes when he sees Tyler washing his hands.

Tyler freezes too looking at him wide eyed.

"H-hi Tyler" he smiles awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Nervous habit he's grown over the years.

Tyler doesn't respond.

Joshua continues anyway.

"Um I know we haven't seen each other in a fat minute I just been so busy and getting to know Ashley, I'm sorry if you thought I've forgotten about you."

Tyler took a minute to process the words Joshua was saying.

"Oh" he finally says, quietly.

"Oh?"

"Okay,"

"Do you still want to come over my house soon?"

Joshua's mind was ringing with police sirens alarming him that if he hangs out with Tyler he'll be a goner.

But his heart was just yelling in his chest to go back and be the friend Tyler needed.

The reality is tough to take, but he wasn't a very good friend to Tyler for that past two weeks.

And he feels shitty about it.

He was supposed to not mess this up and he did.

Because of how dumb he was thinking and acting.

Not to mention the gravitational pull he and Tyler have grew stronger when he saw Tyler he couldn't resist the way he his heart pushed him towards the bathroom.

And really, his heart sighed once he was face to face with the small boy.

He saw the way the gears in the boy's head were working, contemplating of what to say.

"Um yea"

YES!!!

Joshua pushes the thought away not wanting to show his relief too much, but smiled wide nevertheless.

"Cool do you want to come over tomorrow?"

Tyler nods.

"Cool I'll see you then!" and Joshua really couldn't resist giving Tyler a hug before leaving back to his date.

Joshua felt like fist pumping.

But that be a weird sight if Ashley saw him.

And oh, how Tyler stayed in the same position after Joshua left going over what just happened, his heart racing.

And oh, how he missed the feeling of Joshua hugging him, envelopes in his strong yet safe arms.

And oh, how his heart sighed in that moment.
