Joshua anxiously waits for Ashley in the small coffee shop.

He plans to make things clear and say that he would rather stay friends.

Because at the end of the day Ashley is a great friend to him.

He just doesn't want to date her.

He checks his phone again when someone slides into the booth across from him.

"Hey!"

"Hi, what did you want to talk about?" She doesn't seem mad but her emotion confuses the tall boy.

"Um you don't want to order something first?"

"No."

"Okay...well um I wanted to talk about us-"

"Let me stop you right there, I actually have something to tell you."

Joshua furrows his eyebrows, he's more confused now.

"Ok?"

"Do you remember when we met and Tyler ran out and I was watching his stuff?"

"Yeah? What-"

"His notebook was open and I didn't mean to but, I saw that he wrote down some stuff..."

"What kind of stuff?"

Joshua didn't want to call her out right now about the fact that she invaded Tyler's privacy but nevertheless he was curious too.

"He- Uh well he basically wrote down how he didn't want to be friends with you, and that he was scared of you."

"Wha-?"

"I know it's sudden of me telling you this but I just wanted you to know, I mean considering you guys are still friends from the other day you had lunch with him, and I thought it was best to tell you ASAP since he doesn't want to be friends with you."

She can't be serious.

He thinks.

"I didn't have a good time to tell you, so now you know, what were you going to tell me Josh?"

Joshua was taken aback this information that he took a minute to think.

It doesn't make sense.

Why would Tyler write that?

I-I thought we were good friends and that he did want to be friends with me.

Well he was a little scared at first I understand but is it actually possible he doesn't want me to be his friend?

He ponders.

"Um I never mind, I have to go."

"Oh?"

"Yeah sorry, I'll text you bye."
