they had been at the party for less than an hour before luke was starting to realise why sierra had been so desperate to get him to come along, and he'd figured out just what sort of party this was going to be.
sierra was drunk. she was almost tripping over with every small step she took in her impossibly high high-heeled shoes. it was, however, the happiest luke had seen her in a while, so could he complain?
although she had at first claimed that the other guys were coming along as well, luke hadn't seen anyone they knew here at all, and felt awkward for not fitting in. he wondered who's party this even was, and tried not to let thr thought that maybe sierra didn't even know either cross his mind.
"how are you feeling, lukey?" she slurred her words together and giggled. the music was loud and vibrating even through the floors, making luke feel giddy when he wasn't even tipsy. sierra lurched forward as if she had fallen, and wrapped her arms around the blond's waist in a manner that he thought too smooth to be an 'accident'. "you look a little tense." sierra said lowly, her eyes dark and filled with a sort of hunger luke had nevet seen in them before which both scared him and thrilled him.
"i'm fine. do you want to go home? you don't look like you're in a comfortable outfit to be fumbling around like that." he pointed out.
sierra didn't reply with anything more than a giggle, and as the music started to get slower, she turned around, her ass grazing across luke's groin, making him jump back a little.
"what are you doing?" he shouted above the music in the hopes she might hear.
sierra's face was one of a sad puppy, but quickly the mischievous glint in her eyes returned as she tried to 'dance' with luke again. when he pulled away for the second time, she flashed him a challenging smile, saying, "what, you gay?"
if luke had heard this story happening to someone else, he probably would be laughing his head off right now, but since it was happening to him, he didn't find it as funny.
"i'm going to go to the bathroom." he lied, pushing his way out of the sea of people and patting his pockets to check his lighter and usual packet of emergency cigarettes were still in their usual spot.
he made it outside, onto the front porch, and closed the door behind him. his head rang from the sound of the loud music he had managed to escape and his body still shivered from the vibrations running down his legs.
he reached into his pocket and pulled out his bright pink lighter, smiling at it. ashton.
once the cigarette was lit, he held it to his pink lips and watched the smoke swirl around in the cold winter air as he puffed it out. he'd always found something about smoking so comforting. as if he cared that he'd die younger.
he was brought back into reality by a buzz from his front pocket, and at first he ignored it, taking it probably to be sierra drunk texting him to ask where he had vanished to, but when his phone buzzef again, he was too curious to just ignore it.
luke pressed the home button and the screen lit up, accepting his fingerprint immediately and opening onto the last thing he was on, which was conveniently where the notifications were coming from.
a chat with ashton.
cigarettes: i never took you and sierra to be the type that would get together
cigarettes: but then again, i never thought that you'd break up with me, so.
luke stood up immediately, throwing the cigarette on the floor and stomping it out.
ashton is here.
he shoved his phone and lighter back into his pockets and walked quickly around the side of the house, to the front. he felt bad for not offering sierra a left back home with the state she was in when the party had only just started, but he knew she'd do the same, so he jumped into his yellow hummer, shutting the door harshly behind him.
his phone buzzed once more, and he decided to check it one last time before he drove away.
