Missing

Request: Jimin and Jungkook start dating but then Taehyung disappears a day after not wanting to see them because he loves Jungkook too much

Jimin walked onto his high school campus with a bounce in his step. Today was the day he was going to ask the big question! He was nervous, of course, but he had high hopes.

When he arrived, he spotted Taehyung and Jungkook chatting on a bench. He approached them, smiling.

"Hey, guys!" He called out, waving.

They both looked up and smiled warmly, standing to greet him.

"Hey Jimin, what's up?" Jungkook asked, giving him a hug.

"Not much, how about you?"

"Taehyung and I were just having a really interesting conversation, you should've been here! He has some really cool ideas about quantum physics."

Jimin laughed, giving Taehyung's shoulder a slap.

"Well, I'm sorry to interrupt your discussion, but I was wondering if I could talk to Jungkook in private?" He asked, addressing both of them.

Taehyung shrugged.

"Sure, so long as you don't make him late for class!" He added, pretending to nag like a mother, his slender finger pointed at them.

They laughed in response and Taehyung left to give them their privacy. Taehyung wasn't worried; he had absolutely no idea what Jimin was going to say. It wasn't anything bad, though. Right?

Meanwhile, Jimin sat down on the bench, pulling Jungkook down, too.

"What's up, hyung?" Jungkook asked, giving Jimin his signature bunny smile.

"Well..." Jimin bit his lip out of nervousness, "I was wondering... Jungkook, would you go out with me?"

Jungkook froze.

He had never realized Jimin liked him.

"Jimin, I-"

"Please, Jungkook. Just give me a chance. Let me prove myself."

Jungkook looked away, considering. Dating Jimin would be lying to the older and to himself; yet rejecting him would only cause the man pain he didn't truly deserve. Besides, Jungkook could never win over the guy he was truly after. Maybe dating Jimin would help him move on. Maybe he'd learn to love Jimin.

"O-okay, fine. I'll go out with you Jimin."

Jimin jumped for joy, grinning. He pulled Jungkook to his feet and hugged him.

"Thank you Jungkookie!"

"Jimin, Jungkook, you're going to be late!" Taehyung called, obviously having circled back around to retrieve them.

"Oh, hi Tae!" Jiming called, "Guess what! Jungkook and I are dating now!"

For a split second, Taehyung didn't seem to process the words.

"Huh?"

"Jungkook. And I. Are dating." Jimin repeated.

Taehyung turned his eyes from Jimin to Jungkook, then back again.

"Oh."

"Aren't you happy for us, Taehyung?" Jimin asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Yeah. You should go to class. I'll see you at lunch."

"Actually, me and Jungkook want some alone time during lunch, ok? We'll walk home together like always, though."

"Wait a minute," Jungkook cut in, "We always sit together as a group at lunch."
