@EXPLOSIVEJIBOOTAE for you, dear

unfortunately, I've run out of time to edit. I'm very tired, so goodnight, love xx

     Taehyung woke up slowly, mind ascending into consciousness like a sluggish sunrise. He became aware of Jeongguk's arm draped over his waste, as well as his own arm clutching back. A yawn forced him awake. His eyes, opening slowly, met the front of Jeongguk's pajama shirt, wrinkled and twisted from turning in his sleep. The scoop neck of the silk top was pulled down, exposing a tapering strip of skin on Jeongguk's upper chest. Without much thought, Taehyung kissed said exposed skin, praising rewarding sight. Waking up next to Jeongguk made it worth waking up at all.

     Jeongguk's breathing changed, and he sucked in a breath, slowly waking up as well. Taehyung watched lazily, seeing Jeongguk's jaw muscles shift as he moved his tongue around. After a few minutes, which Taehyung waited through patiently, Jeongguk opened his eyes. He squinted, disapproving of the amount of light in the room- which wasn't much, mind you, only the sunlight filtering through the blinds- and sighed.

     "Good morning, Jeonggukie," Taehyung murmured teasingly.

     Jeongguk looked down to meet Taehyung's eyes, lips curling in a smile. "Good morning, Beautiful."

     Taehyung grunted, which came out as more of a squeak, and leaned away from Jeongguk so as to stretch his back and neck. All his muscles contracted, speeding his blood flow with blissful shivers, and he sighed when he relaxed again.

     "Are you really serious about wanting me to move in?" Taehyung asked, fumbling with the blankets in an attempt to pull them off.

     "Of course I am," Jeongguk said, he, too, pushing the blankets away. They sat up, stretching a bit more before Jeongguk continued. "If you're worried about having your own space, the guest bedroom is as good as yours the second you ask for it. Just say the word, sweetheart."

     "That's not it," Taehyung told him sternly. "I don't mind sharing a space with you, Jeongguk, I just want the security of independence."

     Jeongguk glanced at him doubtfully. Taehyung got up and made his way to Jeongguk's closet, where he began to slide hangers along the bar at random intervals in a search for clothes. He eventually found a hoodie and a pair of sweats, which he deemed acceptable.

     "I don't know what your definition of 'security' is, Taehyung, but I can tell you this; you'll be more secure with me than you would on your own right now. I have food, water, electricity, and a working heater. And I know you don't, even if you won't admit it, so I want you to stay with me."

     Taehyung froze with his back still turned to Jeongguk, selected clothes tucked under his arm. He knew that Jeongguk meant well, and that Jeongguk was right, but that claim upset him for some reason. Maybe it was the embarrassment of being unable to support himself, but he felt like he was being degraded, mocked. Slowly, he turned around, biting back a backhanded retort. Jeongguk did mean well, after all.

     "Maybe you're used to a privileged life, but some people have it harder than you and there's nothing wrong with that. You act like having financial issues makes a person lesser. Maybe I'm not rich like you, but that doesn't mean you have to be an asshole about it." Still a retort, yes, but nicer than what he would've originally said.

     Taehyung left the room, heading to the bathroom down the hall to change. Jeongguk was left in stunned silence. Perhaps it was better to let Taehyung cool off for a moment before trying to apologize, anyway. He decided to change and wait for Taehyung to come back on his own.
