I drag him to the small bathroom. My hair things and makeup litter the counter.
To tell the truth, I really hate makeup. It disgusts me. It’s like wearing a mask to hide myself. Urgh. But it’s required for work, so I have to wear it anyways.
My reflection appears in the mirror on top of the sink. I’m still wearing my mask. Maybe I should get rid of it.
“Umm… Senpai?” Ichi’s voice filters into my ears. Oh, I nearly forgot about him. He’s leaning against the door frame.
I pull up a stool.
“Sit.” I command. He sits.
“Look.” I command. He looks. Sitting down on the low stool, the top of his head reaches my chin.
In my hand is a hair tie. A new one from a whole bag that I had recently bought. I drop it onto his palm.
“Tie back your hair.”
“Why?”
“Sanitary reasons.”
“Mm…”
“What.”
“I don’t know how to, so Senpai, onegaishimasu.” He flashes a smile.
“Wha… What…”
“Please~”
“Sho- shouganai na."
*Onegaishimasu: (JAPN) Please do it for me. (in this context)
*Shouganai na: (JAPN) (You’re useless without me)<— implied/literal meaning (both)
