My father’s boss took me under his wing when my father finally succumbed to illness and passed away. And it was then that I first met him.
He was his son, his perfectly studious, perfectly smart, perfectly handsome, and perfectly good at everything son.
He was perfect. And kind.
He approached me and I let my guard down a little.
So, long story short. His father approved and we started dating.
Then he fell from grace as his rival beat him in countless areas. Thus, he turned into the demon he is now.
I used to like him as he was. I used to like him. A lot. But not anymore.
The pace at which someone changes is truly too fast for the eyes to catch. It happens before you know it.
It really scared me to see him change. And I thought I could change him back. With just my powers.
But that was my mistake. It was my flaw that got in the way of me seeing the clear path ahead.
It blocked the way with shadows of doubt and piles of unnecessary debris.
I grit my teeth as I near the railcar.
