- Sirena's P.O.V -I wake up with an awful throbbing pain in the crook of my neck. Reiji's bite really had been the worst one so far. It freaking kills - enough to give me a head ache anyway. With a quiet moan, I rub my eyes and try to adjust them to the light so I can get up. I feel so drowsy, weak, even; and I hate it. I give up trying to stand an settle with just leaning against the headboard for now. It's best I don't push myself too much. I could probably use some cranberry juice right about now, actually.
Awe, shit.
I've just realised I'm still in Reiji's room.
In Reiji's bed.
Fan-f*cking-tastic.
He mustn't have been bothered to move me to my own room and just left me in his. Either that or he wants to go for another round (not like that you sick twits). I really don't fancy being bitten by him again anytime soon. Unfortunately for me, however, it's not like I get to decide. With a frustrated huff, I gently prod at the two holes in my skin where Reiji bit me, wincing whenever I pressed a little too forcefully. Judging from how big and deep they feel, I wouldn't be surprised if they left a scar. Honestly, it sounds like something Reiji would do on purpose. Sick Bastard.
"Ah, Sirena, you're awake."
Great.
"How are you feeling?" The raven haired vampire oh so casually strides over and stands tall at the foot of his bed, "Not too terrible, I hope?"
"Oh, no, I'm just peachy." I smile pleasantly, contradicting my sour tone of voice, "I've just been bitten by a bloodthirsty, sadistic, asshole vampire; no biggie." I shrug somewhat nonchalantly for effect. Reiji's wine coloured eyes narrow and the smallest smirk turns the corners of his lips upwards. Smug little shit.
"Glad to hear it." The smug little shit taunts, "Here, drink this and regain some of your strength. You'll be needing it." Reiji walks over to the side of the bed and places a tall class practically filled to the brim with cranberry juice. I reach out for it limply and begin to sip on it slowly.
"What's with the generous portion?" I raise an inquisitive eyebrow at the vampire. I couldn't help but be a tad suspicious. What did he want in return? Reiji sighs and pushes up his glasses with a gloved finger.
"I have to admit, Sirena, your blood appeals to me more than any blood I have ever tasted." He stares at me, a more serious tone taking over, "You are truly exquisite; and as much as I hate to admit such a thing, I momentarily lost control and allowed my thirst to take over. I took far too much from you which is why you are in such a weak state now. I sincerely apologise."
"Alright, then." I hum, thoroughly amused. Reiji didn't seem like the type to apologise or own up to his mistakes, much less get something to amend his wrongdoings. "You're forgiven. Just don't let it happen again." I wink at him with a cheeky grin, deciding to lift the mood a little.
"You never cease to surprise me, Sirena." Reiji chuckles, "Most mortals would be quivering in fear. You, however, smile and wink at me like nothing ever happened. You really are strange."
"I never claimed that I wasn't." I counter, flashing him a smile. Reiji shakes his head with a hum of amusement before leaving the bedside and taking a seat in his armchair and picking up a book.
"Once you're feeling well enough, you can go back to your own room." He informs me, not once glancing my way, "Until then, rest here, drink your cranberry juice and regain your strength."
"Thank you, Reiji." I say, sincerity lacing my voice. He seemed to pick up on it as I see the corners of his lips twitch, a smile threatening to show through his 'cold demeanour'.
