——— xxx———Why is it so quiet?
I wandered around the school hallways in confusion.
Of course, I called Mathew and Kisumi a few times but they didn't answer. Especially the many messages I sent, they didn't even read them. Something felt off.
Something in my gut made me want to run away.
Why didn't I?
Suddenly, I heard some weird noises coming from a room I just passed.
I stopped in my tracks and backed up slowly. The door to the room was wide open and the lights were on. There were most certainly people there.
I moved closer to the door and stepped inside.
Liam was standing there covered in a red substance that smelled metallic.
His figure was standing over a rather built adult man that I've never seen in my life. He, well rather, his dead body was in a bloody black suit with a bunch of wires hooked up to him. It seemed like some type of mic that workers use to communicate with others.
Then, it clicked.
He looked like a body guard.
"(First Name)?"
My train of thought was broken by Liam.
He looked deranged, unhinged. His once blue hair was covered in blood and the way he looked at me made me want to run.
However, my body froze in place.
I started yelling at myself to run, to get away from this place and never come back. Is this a dream? Am I just asleep?
Liam stepped towards me slowly. Once he reached my face, he cupped my cheek with one of his bloody hands. Steadily, he leaned forward to the side of my face and towards my ear.
I could feel his breath slowly pour out, making me shiver.
"Do you know why you aren't running?" Liam whispered.
Suddenly, he nibbled the lobe of my ear.
"Because you are meant to be mine."
I finally gained control of my body and moved back, away from whoever the hell was in front of me.
Was Liam really like this? Was I just too blind to notice?
My vision began to clear up and I caught a glimpse of something horrific.
More dead bodies were scattered around in one classroom. People that I recognized too.
Mathew,
Noah,
Logan,
Zander,
and Raiden
with their limbs torn off their torsos. It gave me deja vu from Ray's death on the news.
My breath hitched.
I turned my attention back to Liam who seemed pretty accomplished by his 'art' that was all over the classroom floors. He had the typical smirk he always had when he teased me. Maybe it is just some huge elaborate prank.
"Why the surprised look? You know they all secretly hated you, right?"
I felt my world shatter once I heard his words. It sank into my brain and for some reason, it distracted me for a slight second. I failed to realize how his smirk grew wider.
"They never liked you anyways. They always said that you were pathetic for coming from a low income family."
"But-" I whimpered.
"Did you really think they liked you? I was the only one who actually did. Seriously, even that Kisumi kid didn't care. If he cared, he would've been here right now to help you. Don't you see? I'm the only one you can rely on."
Did they actually not care about me?
My heart started to sting as I thought about all the memories i had with everyone in this school. That one time I helped Noah write a song, Logan hiding behind me everytime he is getting bullied, Ryland telling me his past, Zander giving me the food he cooked, and helping Raiden out setting up the classroom.
Now that I know what they thought of me, I knew that those memories had to be torn away from me.
Liam lifted my chin up and stared into my eyes with his.
"I'll protect you no matter what, Kitten. Just trust me. You don't need them."
Do you trust him?
>yes (accept)
>no (deny)
