I sat in the cafe booth, wresting my head on the palm of my hand.
Where is he?
I closed my eyes, trying not to think of what happened on this exact day.
"(First Name)?"
I turned around and saw Kisumi, smiling at me.
He joyfully skipped to his seat in front of me and grabbed the menu eagerly.
"THIS MAMA HUNGRY!" Kisumi basically screams, making me giggle.
Good thing this cafe was pretty empty.
Ever since the incident, I found out my mother was dead. Then, Kisumi took me in after that day I went to school. I thank him for that and the fact that everyone was safe that day as well. I felt relieved it was only me who suffered.
Except that janitor.
I found out he was paid by Noah to hurt me.
"Are you okay?" He asked, noticing I wasn't mentally present.
I nodded to him, flashing him a phony smile.
"I'm just thinking about Noah."
I remember his smile.
When I refused to come with him, he simply lifted the gun to his head and-
"Hi, what can I get for you today?" A waiter asked.
I switched my gaze to him, he was fairly good looking.
I then switched my gaze back to Kisumi who was staring at him like some goddess.
"You," Kisumi jokingly flirted.
I rolled my eyes as they continued to go back and forth.
Noah pulled the trigger to himself that day and Kisumi found me at school as he was worried that I wasn't responding to his texts. He went to my house and then went to school to find me, but he instead found two dead bodies with me.
Thankfully, Kisumi defended me with his money and status. He hired amazing lawyers and I was found to be not guilty of any of the dead bodies that were found.
Ever since, he has paid for us to go to a new school, live in a new home, and gave us both good jobs.
A tear slipped out of my eye as I look at Kisumi with admiration.
Thank you, Kisumi.
For everything.
