"Rin, I SAID GET UP!" yelled my elder brother, waking me up completely from slumber.

"I've been calling you for the past fifteen minutes and you're not answering at all!" He barged into my room.

"I'm sorry, Jinnie. It took me a long time to fall asleep last night," I said, getting my dress out from the closet.

"Well, be quick now or you'll be late on your first day at work." His voice became a lot softer as he realized the reason behind the delay.

"You're so much like our mother. She used to scold me at first and then help me like this, too." Suddenly all those painful memories flooded into my mind and tears started to well up in my eyes.

"She'd be so happy today," he said, lost in thoughts. After a few seconds, though, he added, "But she'd want you to get there on time. So, get ready fast and come downstairs for breakfast."

I chuckled a bit. It was amazing how he could make me laugh in a second. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a shower. I put on my clothes, made sure my hair didn't look too bad, and put on some light makeup as fast as I could. I was never a person to spend a lot of time for makeup, 'cause I never liked it much, but I wanted to make a good first impression.

As soon as I reached the kitchen, I saw a tall figure. Flashing his cute dimples, he said, "Good morning, Rinnie-ah."

"Morning." I smiled.

Yeah, it's super weird to be greeted by someone's smile in the morning right after your brother yells at you. But not for me. Because this guy, was my dear brother's boyfriend, Kim Namjoon. But he was more like a brother to me.

"How are you, Namjoon oppa?" I asked taking a seat. Jin oppa served me breakfast.

''I'm great, but what about you? Are the nerves kicking in?" He asked.

"A bit," I said nervously.

"Happens to everyone. Don't worry." He smiled. "Now finish your breakfast and I'll drop you at work before going to mine."

I tasted one spoonful of the breakfast made and immediately thought, "He should have been a chef." Just as I was about to tell him that, Namjoon oppa spilled coffee all over the table.

"You truly are the god of destruction." Jin sighed. He was so used to this type of stuff, he didn't even complain at this point. and started cleaning the mess while his boyfriend apologized to him. Very soon, my brother actually came around and cracked a dad joke which caused all of us to laugh.

Seeing the couple, I thought, "Perhaps, being in a relationship isn't bad at all. But... I can't afford to lose someone else."

As I quickly gobbled up the delicious breakfast made by my brother, many thoughts rushed into my mind.

"How were my colleagues going to be? Would I be able to fit in with them? And my boss — would he be friendly or give me too much work?"

After finishing breakfast, Jin wished me luck and Namjoon oppa gave me a ride to my new office.

"You'll be alright. Just be yourself!" He said, as I got out of the car and prepared myself to enter a whole new world.

One I had never faced before.

Also one that was unlike anything I imagined.
