{1 MONTH LATER}❛ ʏᴇʀɪɴ ❜
"Can a recurring dream mean something?" I asked Taehyung.
Yes, we were okay with each other.
I had to admit that it took a while for us to speak to each other without having any uncomfortable aura around us, but we managed to do so anyway.
Both of us were heartbroken after that night, though it was for different reasons. Taehyung had gotten over it. Very soon, to be honest. But me?
I wasn't even sure. ‘Partly’ would be the exact answer. Because although it did hurt less to see Jungkook with someone else, my heart foolishly ached to see that someone was Hyeri and Hyeri only.
He had meant it when he said he'd settle down.
"It could mean many things. I don't know what it means in your case," Taehyung replied.
"Many things? Like what?" I asked.
"It could be something you're really worried about. Or maybe it's just a faint memory," he said, and looked at me in concern.
"Is that why you appear so tired all the time? You can't sleep because of nightmares?" He asked.
"It's not a nightmare, Tae. But yes, I'm having a bit of problem sleeping."
"Maybe you should talk about it with someone. Consult a specialist, if needed."
"I will. Don't worry," I said, flashing him a smile.
He smiled back. I took another sip from my coffee, and so did he. I caught some sudden movement in my peripheral vision. I turned my head towards that side to find Jungkook walking inside.
Our eyes made contact for a split second, and then we both looked away, quickly and hesitantly. Once he was out of sight, Taehyung grinned and said, "Remember what I said a month ago? In the party?"
"I do," I muttered. Had it been a month already?
Over the past month, all of us had seen Jungkook and Hyeri together most of the time. I was still carrying out his personal activities, but he maintained his distance so well, that I couldn't even say if he was being cold or friendly towards me.
Except spending more time with Hyeri, no other change was seen in him.
Well, not if you count changes in appearance. His hair color had shifted from black to a dark shade of brown.
