I looked up to see tears flowing down his cheeks. Sitting up straight, I wiped them away with my hand. ❛I didn't know we had so much in common, Jungkook.❜
He turned to me and that's when I realized ── our faces were only inches apart.

After hours of tossing and turning, I realized sleep would elude me tonight. Minji's voice seemed to ring in my ears endlessly.
Why ruin three lives?
If you don't truly love her, then you're ruining hers, too.
Hyeri happened to be contrary to what she seems. She'd done nothing but foolishly love me.
Love someone who doesn't really love her back.
I recalled my conversation with Namjoon hyung this morning. I was the one who reached out for him.
-
"Hey, hyung? Can we meet up somewhere? I want to talk to you." I said.
"Lucky you. I'm in the coffee shop just across the street from your house. Think you can make it?" He asked over the phone.
"Of course. I'll be there in a few minutes." I said.
I entered the coffee shop about ten minutes later, and found Namjoon hyung waving at me from a window seat in the back.
I sat down across him, and said, "Thanks for meeting up so soon. I would have called Yoongi Hyung, but he's busy and I didn't want to disturb him."
"Anytime, maknae." He smiled, showing off his dimples.
"So, why the sudden need of advice?" He asked.
"Umm... What do you do if you've made a terrible mistake?" I asked him.
"A terrible mistake?" He asked in confusion.
"Like, you did a wrong thing, and now you regret it." I said slowly. "Maybe you've hurt someone badly."
"Have you apologized?" He asked me.
This is why I asked for his company at times like these. Without any questions, he'd give me sincere advice.
"No, it's very difficult to do so."
"Well, if you can't apologize, you should at least try to make up for the mistake." He said. "We make a lot of small mistakes that lead up to a big one, right? Maybe you could reverse one small mistake?" He smiled softly.
"Perhaps that could lessen the pain you caused to that someone."
"You're.... right." I said. "Thank you, Hyung."
"If you want to thank me, please reverse that mistake." He said, and I wondered if he actually knew what I was talking about.
