I imagined Yerin's dress to be something like the above.
❛ ʏᴇʀɪɴ ❜
I finished my third cup of coffee and said to myself that I wouldn't touch it again today. But, when work calls and you feel sleepy, it's the worst.
The office party that everyone was waiting for was planned to commence tomorrow evening. And as both of us already knew, Jungkook and I would be seeing each other after about one and a half week in the party.
The only problem was that I wasn't sure if I was ready to face him yet. I hadn't talked to him in the past few days, and we hadn't talked about the kiss the last time we saw each other — which happened to be the morning after the kiss.
Back to the point — I have had to drown on coffee because I haven't been able to sleep at all last night. Whenever I got a bit of sleep, I just had a dream and woke up with a start. Moreover, the dream didn't make any sense, either.
''Hey, Yerin." Taehyung greeted me with his bright smile.
"Tae, what's up?" I smiled back.
"I went to Jungkook's yesterday, and thought I should tell you this. He has healed a lot. His forehead isn't bandaged anymore, it's just a band-aid on the cut."
"What about his arm?" I asked.
"It's healing, too. The bandage was changed once. He says the pain's a lot less now. The doctors said he'd be okay as long as he didn't do anything that requires a lot of pressure with that hand."
"I see," I smiled.
''Hey, Yerin?" He hesitated.
''Yes?"
''Have you got a date yet?"
''Oh, shit." Realization drained upon me. ''I totally forgot about it, Tae.''
"As expected from the workaholic," He laughed. "You know, the circumstances aren't right for any of us to ask anyone out."
"Yeah," I agreed.
He looked straight into my eyes and asked, "Would you like to go with me?"
I was shocked. I stared at him for a moment before saying, ''I haven't really-"
He cut me off and corrected, ''How about just as friends?"
"O-okay," I said. "That sounds good."
He smiled. "I'll pick you up from your house."
❛ ᴊᴜɴɢᴋᴏᴏᴋ ❜
I was getting impatient. Again.
It's true I was finally going outside the house after about two weeks, but I knew better than to deny the real reason this time – Yerin.
The truth was that I couldn't wait to see her after all that happened when we were together the last time. It changed me.
