Jungkook cut off Taehyung and asked, "Together?"
"Yeah. Neither did I," Jimin was so stunned, his voice came out as a whisper.
"Well, we are. And I plan on settling down now,'' Jungkook said and looked into Hyeri's eyes.
My heart ached and I didn't want to know why.
Seeing that none of us was in the position to say anything, Jungkook said, ''Enjoy the party."
He walked away, his hand still on Hyeri's waist. She flashed a "I-told-you-so" kind of look towards me.
I felt someone squeeze my hand and looked to find Minji looking at me with a soft smile. I did what I did the best.
Showed up a fake yet seemingly real smile.
Taehyung cleared his throat awkwardly, causing us to look at him. "Minji?" Jimin outstretched his hand.
Minji nodded, and took his hand before they both walked away, leaving me and Taehyung in an uncomfortable silence.
"Yerin?" Taehyung said.
"Yes?"
"Do you mind if we have a word outside?"
"Of course not," I led the way out.
The venue for the party was chosen with a lot of care and thinking. It was a large hall, with a garden in front. A few benches were set up in the garden, so that people could escape the heat of the party if they wanted to.
Just like I did now.
We walked towards a bench and sat down. "So, what do you wanna talk about?" I asked Taehyung.
He hesitated, fidgeting with his fingers.
"It's okay. Go on," I encouraged him with a smile.
"I've been planning to tell you this, and I'm sorry that this had to be the moment when I finally say it.'' He looked me in the eye.
"From the first day that I saw you, I have been attracted to you. Each moment with you makes me feel like I have everything I could ever want. And those moments when we're apart, I can't stop thinking about you."

"Will you be my girlfriend?"
How can I say this to you, Taehyung?
"I've been trying to make myself fall for you from the start, Taehyung. But, I can't return your feelings, after all. Please forgive me." I said, feeling a lump rise in my throat.
His smile faded instantly. I could see the pain in his eyes. "No, forgive me. I knew you wouldn't accept me, not when you've fallen for someone else."
