I was worried about Jade my mind went crazy thinking about what happened. It wasn't like her just to shut people out. I wanted to press on and get her to talk, but with whatever is going on with us being new I didn't want to give her any reason to pull even further away from me.

It was hard to go to sleep but I knew I would be able to see her in the morning and she would hopefully have time to deal with whatever was bothering her.

Fangs, Sweet Pea and I all rode together in a group. It was nice out this morning so we decided to take our motorcycles. We were at school for 20 minutes before I see Jade and Jughead driving up to us. Jade on her motorcycle and Jughead on their dads.

They park their bikes, Jughead gets off doesn't acknowledge any of us and just walks straight into school.

Jade just sits on hers with her head slumped. The boys were going to go up to her but I stop them and shook my head "wait here." I say and they turn around.

"Baby what happened?" I ask and Jade just keeps her head down ignoring me. "Jade what happened?" I say now grabbing her face to lean it upwards. I see a gash on her cheek and slight bruising around it.

It's been so long since I've seen Jade hurt like that she fought in MMA matches but it had been a while since she had taken any fights. Even when she got into fights on the street or at the bar or even school she always walked away untouched.

"Baby..." I say giving her a hug. She just shakes her head "it was my brother we got in a fight last night when I found him." She sounded so hurt, so exhausted. All I wanted to do was take away her pain.

I didn't want her to have to go to school in that condition. Because I knew how easily she would be set off in her emotional state and the last thing I wanted was for her to get into another fight. "Baby let's go home." Jade just nods her head. I grab my bike and we make our way back home. We decided to spend the day at my place.

Jade tells me the entire story and my heart breaks for her and Jughead. I know Gladys and Jade never had the greatest of relationships growing up. She was always a daddy's girl and Jughead was a mama's boy. But I knew it hurt her even more when it came to how Gladys treated Jughead over the phone last night.

Jade never shed a tear in front of me even though I could hear it in her voice that she wanted to. In fact all of the years I've known her she's never cried in front of me. I knew she hated showing any kind of emotion in front of anyone. So for her to be like this in my presence made me feel good even with the circumstances. The next thing I know Jade is fast asleep with her arm thrown across my stomach and her head on my chest.
